Are spawn worth taking at all? I have been considering taking two and putting them on my front line as a fire magnent. Is this worth the points? The way I see it, they either, absorb an entire squad of fire before dying, or get ignored and make it into close combat because of their movement status. Now, I know they arent good at close combat, but if one guy can prevent a squad from shooting for one turn then its done its job. What do you guys think? Is this a worthless idea, or one that could work. Just wondering.

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

I just tried to talk about this.

I will be taking probably three in a 2000 point chaos army, for just that use. I honestly just don't like using raptors. I think they are boring. I liked them better when they had extra rules in the last book.

But other than that, you are better off with Raptors.

They ARE fearless, which makes them perfect for that role.

I'm also curious what they could do. Just what you say, tying up squads. The most important thing to do is use their fast attack final deploy to make sure they aren't going to be led around by the nose the whole game.
