Is there a limit on when you can use the epic version of your warcaster? I only have the Prime book but I also have the Faction Deck and I really like the Epic Casters.

And 2 epic casters at 1500 points.
That would be a massive game though.

And you can't use the epic version and the regular version of the same warcaster at the same time.

Keep in mind that epic versions aren't necessarily "better" than their non-epic versions. In some cases, they're worse. The epic version generally has one spell that they keep, and their non-epic Feat gets reduced and made into a spell for the epic version.

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

I have been told that epic versions have more complicated/ delicate/ synergies and tactics.
They are for experienced players only, in other words. They don't necessarly give an edge on the battlefield, like a rare magic card or something, but they take more experience to use properly.
If that makes any sense.
They are fun, in other words .
I'm waiting for my 100 point plus epic thaggy.

They haven't gotten to Apotheosis warcasters yet. They're finally finishing up the Prime and Escalation ones in the next book. Maybe we'll see Epic Karchev in the book after that, about 2 years from now.

I think it's more likely you'll see Epic Old Witch than Epic Karchev.
Plus, the rumor is that Legends wraps up the current storylines, and the next book will leap ahead a few years. Actually, that's not a rumor, I think Matt Wilson said it in an interview in No Quarter. I'm curious to see if they really jump ahead and how they do it with Hordes out there too. Will the third Hordes book wrap up their storyline, and then the whole world moves ahead a few years?
So, it's possible that there won't be another round of Epics and it'll be a whole new round of warcasters, units, and jacks in the not-too-distant future of the Iron Kingdoms.

Why not, since they already introduced Squat Warcasters.
Maybe we'll get Warmachine 5.0, Whinemachine.
