My first beastman model since shelfing the army 3 years ago. Finally getting back to it The whole army is all kroot models, so of course the chariot has to be too. Still working on it a little but here it is so far. Here's some old pics of the army so far.

And here's the chariot so far

It's based on Gorthorr's chariot, that I picked up way back when the Rogue's Den was closing, it was 50% off and the only beast chariot they had. So I figger I can get a regular beast chariot next to pair em up, and they'll look different. I took Gorthorr's spear banner thingy and stuck it on the front to count as scythes. I also used Gorthorr's extra beefy spear as the 2h weapon for the bestigor in it.

Wadaya think?

That chariot actually works really well, pretty bad ass in fact.

Thanks, I gonna see if I can paint it this weekend if time permits. Still have some mold trimming to do. I also have 3 more minos to paint and I'm thinking about building a 2nd beast herd. And I also wanna redo all the bases in the army. The spackle thing was cool for the tomb kings I did but it's just not working for me here. I think I wanna give em swampy or jungle looking bases

Any considerations for using Krootox for the chariot pullers instead of hounds? I feel the hounds seem overly small.

I'm starting to think they look a little small too now.. But, I think the krootox might look too big. I have a bunch of Krootox heads that I'm using for my minotaurs. I wanted to save them for more minos since you can't bitz order stuff now but what I might try and do is use the piggies that came with it, but with a krootox head, and do some filing and greenstuffing to get rid of the fur look.

Looks good to me, very happy to see you back on your Krootibeasts. Though I do agree that the mounts are pretty tiny for being big tough tuskers. Going piggy + krooty head might be for the best.

That is a cool concept for a conversion Necros!! Great stuff!

Some greenstuff straps attaching the yolk to the critters pulling the chariot would really help tie the model together.

I can't wait to see this painted.

Salvage has a good point about the size of the kroot-dog-things. Perhaps if you can score two more you could have four drawing the chariot.

yeah I'm gonna try putting together the piggies tonight and see how it looks with them & a krootox head. I do like the 4 hound idea too though, like a bobsled kinda thing but the base might not be long enough. But I'll see how it goes. I need something that's not too overly complex and/or expensive since I will be building another one so I can have em working in pairs.

Finally, someone with the same idea as me. I used a Krootox to pull the chariot. I should have used two, but I didn't think they would fit the base too well. It still looks very cool.

However, the only models I used Kroot for were the Characters, Bestigors, and the Chariots because they all have the Mark of Tzeentch in my army (bird like features). I left the regular gors and ungors as is since they have no mark. I also used the Kroot hounds and Warhounds. They work great for that purpose.

Niffty idea, and done quite well. I do agree with earlier suggestion about switching from Kroot hounds to pull the chariot. I wouldn't use a Krootox for it, but find some other way to convert or build up the hounds to make them look bigger.

Great idea, hilarious execution. (sort of meals-on-wheels reversed)

Were you to to another with a Krootox, you might almost be able to have it in a single harness, scraplauncher-fashion.

When soldiers think, it's called routing.

I decided to just keep that with the kroot hounds. And I'll eventually do a 2nd one. Then I think maybe I'll see if I can do a beastlord on a chariot and maybe give him the krootox to pull it. I'll keep the kroot gunner too, but change that to be an ungor with a spear or something

Now you've got to model a drive-through terrain feature.
