Howdy,

I was looking at the schedule for games days and grand tournaments.

June 14 - Games Day Baltimore
July 26 - Games Day Chicago
August 23 - Games Day LA
September 5-7 - Las Vegas Grand Tournament
October 3-4 - Chicago Grand Tournament
November 14-16 Baltimore Grand Tournament

There's enough of a 'lag' between the Baltimore and Chicago events so if one wanted to go to one regional event and then go again a few months later, one could.

As a west coaster, I'm disappointed that all of the 'official' GW events occur within 2 weeks of each other so I cannot realistically go to both.

Is there any chance the LA and LV events could be made more convenient for the gamers?

For some odd reason, dropping a grand is acceptable to the wife once in a while but doubling that up in a two week period makes her yell divorce my way.

Anyways, it seems the other 2/3 of the country can go to two GW events in a year with adequate breathing room between events but we can't.

Any chance of fixing this next year?

3 months=good.
2 weeks=bad.

Thanks. Sorry there's not a better place for me to put this, there's only one forum unlocked on your site and it's for Baltimore.

Probably has something to do with the logistics of getting the tables, scenery, and other gear needed to run the events out to the West Coast. By scheduling the two events the way they are, they can just pack up in LA, and park a large truck or container in LV for a couple of weeks.

Chris or Dave might see this here, but emailing them direct, or posting on the GW community developement boards would make sure they see it.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

Hi Stelek (and other West Coastish gamers)

Yep, unfortunately the times this year for the two West Coast 40K events on the GW Tournament Circuit are crappy. As Mikhaila surmised, it is a shipping and staffing issue. The good news is, however, that we're currently chatting with a few other independent events in California and Washington regarding the possibility of adding them to the GW Tournament Circuit. It looks like we'll be able to grow a reasonable spread geographically and time-wise for the 2009 and 2010 seasons. I know that doesn't help you out immediately in Utah, or for this season, but it's something we have to grow in a manageable fashion.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

Oh I figured as much, but knowing it's a 'known issue' and being taken care of is good news.

Didn't expect anything different this year, what's done is done.

Just don't spread yourself too thin again is all I ask!
