Not bad, good call on the claws as filler. Unfortunatly you are going to get a lot of people calling bs and you'll have to explain yourself quite a bit. But asthetically it works! Only issue is that the paintjob is kinda ... it needs a bit more to it. Maybe for the shell portions if you could run the lines of blue up the shell a bit more and throw a third lighter color on top of it. I always like the 'idea' of an army that is black but in practice the more black you use the less of the model you see as it absorbs light and thus contour.

Also, I do not know if you will care at all as it is a long-range 'fex, but putting them as far back on the base is good so you do not have the tangles mess of arms in front of them that snag other models in base to base. Just a thought.

The carapace with the VC reminds me of the old Armorcast models, which is a good thing.

Undead Titan Log
Malfred: Terminator Armor has always had room for extra boobage.
Drake_Marcus: It's true- that's why the Space Wolves love termie armour so much. The whole "bear" thing they've got going on is just a thinly veiled cover-up of their huge, hairy cleavage.

I'm going to go against the grain and say I don't like this one. I've always been a stickler for the fluff of six limbed `Nids so the missing arms and then the gun jutting out of his back just kind of bother me.

I like the idea of the VC out of the carapace, I personnaly do NOT like 2 heavy guns on fex's on the same side so I been looking at conversions when I see them. If you want to add another set of arms grab some warrior arms, nothing to them, their just arms but they look good, I used them when I converted my Flyrant with custom built twin linked devourer's, so I had heavy devo's on top and the warrior arms on bottom.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Having both weapons on the same side of the monster looks odd, as does having two sets of feeding pipes running accross the tosro, in either direction. The model wasnt really designed to mount venom cannon and barbed strangler together. Hence I agree with the idea of mounting the heavy weapons in opposite arms with no feed pipes. I was thinking about making a gunfex is pretty much the same way as the top picture. With two adjstments, the extra claws wouldc be underneath and while using crushing claw arms would use a short T-rex like atrophied talon.
If crushing claws are kept they simply represent the two attacks the monster naturally has.

The alternative is to cut away the weapons behind the wrists and take advantage of the two hands to fashion two arms taking up both slots. That is a lot of work though, especially as the hands would need to be reversed on one side.

I gave up on the idea in favour of a barbed stranger and talons elite fex for 5th. I loved the look of the talons plus heavy gun/twin linked gun far more than the minimaxed variant. Its a lot fairer for my opponent too.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

Juat ran out of ideas only so many conversions you can do with one model lolz. Plus I'm not a big fex fan except in a big bug list which these are for =). Granted I do not really play big bugs on a reg basis to mean, so the would then only come out in apoc with my Bio- Titan. =P

What about mounting one gun per side in the upper arm slot, and then running the feeder pipes back to an arm in the lower arm slot on the same side? Side note - I think I'll give this a try when I assemble a Carnifex next... unless I go for one with 4 legs made from the TMC ScyTals.
