I'm new to Warhammer 40K in general. I've read enough of the novels to get a good sense of the background, and I'm just beginning to construct and Imperial Guard force.

I'm currently trying my hand at conversion so that I can establish the look of my army before buying too many units. Consequently, I'll probably be looking for advice in the modeling forum.

What Models do you have so far?

I bought a metal Cadian command squad (this being the best IG set available at the local store the first time I went looking) to try out some conversion ideas on. I just picked up a box of plastic Cadian troopers, but I'm not planning to touch them until I've settled on a workable design.
