Does anyone choose to paint the translucent green gauss parts of necron guns? My necron's are going to have white armor with iceworld bases; the guns are going to be painted black, maybe a metallic color, and I was thinking of painting the gauss blue....darker blue towards the base of the gun, and progressively lighter towards the end of the rifle. Does anyone else choose to paint the gauss, and if so how do you do it?

Maybe just give the weapons a wash of blue ink ? Does that work ?

You can also buy new rods to put in em instead of painting em. Otherwise you'd paid em just like you'd paint anything else.
