Loved the article. I'll use it as a loose guide when I finally get around to painting my own Nurgle minis.

Thanks for passing on the sharpie tip, too. You didn't specify in the article; Did you seal your minis before using it? I've always heard that, if you don't, it clogs the tip rather swiftly, ruining the sharpie (and my experience with Micron pens supports the idea).

One last thing. I'd paint the basing materials. A painted mini with natural colored basing materials just seems to look "off."

A dark brown base and a drybrush highlight, followed by a brown ink wash (with, perhaps, a bit of static grass) would do wonders.

Always nice to see others Plague Marines so I can steal their techniques. I'm painting up a batch myself, may think of doing an article too. Great Job!

This was one of my initial critiques as well. He mentioned that he kept the basing as is because the rest of the army to that point was like that.

Note in his Plaguebearer's, he's actually finished the bases properly since they're for a demon army he's started ^_-.

One question, where do you get the "Antique White"? Is it a GW color? it's a really nice "off-shade" white because I feel skull white looks kind of comical and unrealistic. Does anyone know where he got that color?

Antique White is available from just about anyone who makes acrylic paints.

I can't speak for "gaming" paints, but the ones marketed towards ceramis painting (Ceramcoat, Apple barrel, etc) all have Antique White. You can find them in any craft (hobby) store or (only if you HAVE to) WalMart.

Haha thanks! Could'nt seem to find any other plague marines painting guides anywere else....
oh and you said you wer'nt going to paint the bases, you could at least finish them up properly, because i love the models, but the bases makes them look like a half-ass job..... you really should do them better, it would give them a much more 'complete' look.... and if you dont know how (which im sure you will ; ) ) there are loooaaaddds of tutorials on youtube. Apart from that they are amazing models.
