So ive been thinking of doing a pre heresy army just as a side project to my tau that i am currently finishing up. so heres the first test model, im not sure if i really like it yet, i keep flipping back and forth, so i figured i would come here for C&C.





I havent quite finished on all the details yet, and will probably use custom transfers for the shoulder pads in the future, but I want to know what everyone thinks about the armor

I think it looks great. There is a lot of room for detail in those glyphs. You HAVE to go crazy on your HQ choices.

Wow. At first glance, I wasn't so hip on it - then I scrolled down and saw that you hadn't just done the glyph-work on the head and torso, but all over the backpack, legs, everything was covered - it looks sweet, man!

Really nice! The glyph work is awesome. There's just one tiny thing that seems off about the whole model and that's the freehand insignia. It's much better than I could do, but for some reason it detracts from the model IMHO. If you're good with transfers BOLS has some good ones for PH armies.

Looks great! Would like a photo thats not so close to get a better idea how itd look on the table.

I think the only thing wrong with it, possibly, is that the picture I remember seeing of the ph Thousand Sons had the slightly pinker than that, kind of like an electric red. The main color was the shade you have used for the glyphs. It sets my eyes off, a bit, because it doesn't differentiate them from the dozen other Red Marines chapters.

Looking good. I'd go batty trying to paint all those glyphs. More power to ya!
