Just wondering, is it better to glue the defiler ball & socket joint to the body, or leave it unglued so it's kind of posable? if I don't glue it I'm worried the paint will get all scratched up from moving em around too much.

Definitely glue. Beside chipping paint, the ball and socket joint will quickly loosen and the legs will get all floppy and won't be able to support the model.

yeah, it's not designed to be poseable or to bear the weight of the Defiler unglued. Although leaving the 'fist' arms unglued would be ok, so long as your Defiler isn't too front-heavy

OK I'll glue em in. Actually the way I'm building it is with 3 sets of legs in the bottom like the soulgrinder.. and then the claw arms are gonna be attached to the top half on either side, so he'll just have his cannon plus 2 CC arms. I might see about mounting the autocannons to the top in place of where the head would go.

I glued all but 1 claw arm in, so he could be all cute and grab things with one arm but otherwise have 5 limbs solidly on the ground.

Look forward to your bug tank, sounds cool.

i'm making a knight paladin and I only have two joints and neither are glued so I can putt it back in the case.

it works okay since all the weight of the model is on those two joints so it forces them o stay and the feed are well balanced.

where you have that many feet you probobally want to glue at least the regular legs.

A gun is a medium, a bullet a brush.

A buddy left his unglued, but it did get loose in the joints and had trouble staying upright.

Insert innuendo where appropriate. Regardless, glue those joints!

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

yeah I'm gonna have to glue the arms on, but I plan to keep the "elbows" posable if I can. But I basically stuck 2 rhino top-hatch doors on either side of the gun housing, then I'm going to cut the claw arm ball in half at an angle, and glue that to the flat hatch door, so it will look like it's coming out of the sides. I also have the "waist" magnetized, so the top will be able to spin around and also so it will be easier to transport for games.. i'll post a wip shot tonight if I get a chance
