Hi.

I did a (simple) conversion giving my Hive tyrant some wings.
I also did some messing with the positioning of his feet and bended the tail a bit.
Also note that the 'vents' are gone.

I just wanted to show it to you peeps.

I like it! the only thing that I think, and correct me if anyone thinks I'm way off on this, is that the wings look just a smidge too big. Even a little smaller would make it look better IMHO, but I love the concept.

I think the wings are a good size. I wouldn't go any smaller.
Pretty all of the wings on miniatures produced are FAR too small.
If your going for a dragonfly design, you might want to look up damselflies.
Unlike dragonflies, they can fold their wings back.
Which is a useful design model for multiple winged Tyranids, since wings take up so much room.
I'd like to see more of this model in progress.

Looks good. I hope thats plasticard and not cardboard. My only difference would have been to angle the wings higher so that you could more easily move the mini about the playing board.

Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

Well, actually the wings were supposed to look like butterfly wings. But i figured with some spacing between em it looked much better! I dunno yet when ill start painting the bug. I ordered this bug along with the new Assault brood box (pre order price 120 euro's for 280 euro's worth of boxed sets..)
And the FLGS also still has the Army deal so im getting that one when the next paycheck comes

Edit: It's plastic card alright.
And i can its pretty easy to move around The figure is well pinned all over.

It looks pretty damned cool tbh. Nice idea. My only gripe is that if the wings are purely dragonfly-esque they might look a tad bit flimsy on an enormous 'fex, but I'll leave it to you to solve that

And the size of the wings is fine. Just because all the winged GW miniatures have the look of flightless cormorants doesn't mean yours can't look good

Agreed. They are also in line with Forge World versions which are huge and impressive.
