In my army list thread somewhere in the army lists forum, someone said i should give my warriors extended carapace because i dont get cover saves in cc.
But then i thought of that Adrenal glands , the one that gives you that extra initiative point, would be a much better choise.

Giving adrenal glands would boost the warrior's I to 5.
The advantage of that would be that you now have a higer init then (most) non-hq/unit champ marine like armies. And have to dice-off against the hq/champ stuff. The same counts for: IG, Deamons, Orks, Tau & Necrons
Against (Dark) Elder you would also make a fair chance going first.

But, the carapace would upgrade your chance of survival from 33% to 50%

Ofcourse if you could you would take both, but...

If you would have to choose, wich one would you take?

I like Adrenal glands. Going first is pretty big in 40K and for higher Initative opponents let the stealers deal with them.

Comparing tournament records is another form of e-peen measuring.

I would go with the adrenal glands if forced to choose, but in reality I always take both.

I would take Adrenal Glands over Carapace Armour if I was forced to choose, but honestly, for a tyranid army, why not just take both? At worst that's two spineguants removed for the points.

Also, Dark Eldar have base I5, so at best, you're rolling at the same time.
