Howdy. I'm in a bit of a bind. I have been trying to download the FAQ's from the GW site for a few days,mostly just for reading purposes. However, whilst I can surf the rest of their site, I am getting the finger from the FAQ's. I can get to their "Shrine of knowledge", but everytime I click on a FAQ I want to save it or even just open it, IE can't help.

On the one hand, I am floating around the Bay of Bengal on a ship with a satellite connection, so crappy connections are a price willingly paid to have net at all out here. On the other hand, I can download much chunkier files from other sources, surf their site and most of the (unblocked) net with impunity, and yet here I get the

Ideas?

Have you been trying just the one GW site?

If so, try going through a different country.

If you use Firefox, you won't run into this problem.

I believe it's a flash related bug that affects many users of GW's site.

Probably why people don't use flash on long term websites...drives away users when critical resources fail reliably.

Nah, tried a couple different browsers. Fox failed me too. Appreciate the suggestion, though. It's just really wierd that I'm not having problems accessing anything else.

Do you have Adobe Flash player installed?

FYI all older copies of Flash will not work with GW's new site.
