Hey guys.

I was at my local gaming store the other day, digging through bins of all the old stuff they have in the attic and couldn't sell, and I came across a bunch of weird cannon-looking devices that were cast out of resin. There was a whole bunch up there, but they were wrapped in some sort of cellophane in pairs without any other sort of brand or whatever on them.

I managed to buy the pair for really, really cheap, mostly on a lark, but the more I look at them the more I am curious. What the heck are these from?

They have a profoundly fantasy dwarf appearance, but they're resin, so...

Any ideas?

The front shields look Orky to me. But the cannon itself does look dwarven. Perhaps it was some sort of cultural exchange between the two?

On a serious note, the resin led me to think that they were FW big gunz, but that can't be right. The mystery thickens...

I really should be spending my time more constructively.

I suspect they are Dwarven siege guns, hence the mantlets.

They're Dwarf Light Cannons, from the Grendel 25mm range.

If those are light, I fear to think what dwarves consider heavy.

Based on the color of the resin, I was TOTALLY going to guess/wonder if they were Armorcast.
A lot of Armorcast stuff used that color resin.

What the Insane Cat said. But I recognized them too right off the bat.

Grendel has some interesting stuff, a bit dated now but still pretty cool.

A lot of resin producers used that coloured resin, not just armorcast - it was a particularly soft resin (not as hard/brittle as some), and had an 'interesting' chemical reek even years afterwards.

However, the resin stuff done by Fantasy Forge (pre-grendel) were done in a grey harder resin more akin to FW or Pig Iron Productions.
