A friend told me he heard a rumor of a 40k ardboys in September that will be 2500 pts with 5th edition rules. Is this true? Is there a date and locations set for it?

There hasn't been anything anounced yet, but I heard that there is something about it in this months WD.

FLGS reported the date 9/13, but that's it so far.

Yes it's in the WD. 2500pts and the 1st round is Sept. 13, then Oct. 11, and finishing in Baltimore on Nov. 14th.

No.

Sep 5-7 is the LVGT.

It does make things suck for those of us going, two event weekends in a row is a bit of a wipeout.

Wish it was 2 weekends later.

I really hope that gets fixed to 5E rules.

Those are the Fantasy scenarios. They have not switched them to 40k yet.

This years Ard Boy should be a blast with 5th ed rules. Now to figure out what army to bring.

Thank goodness. I could not make heads or tails of those scenarios. lol

this was a fun whacked out tourney. yes you could get knocked out by a bad mission/ army paring. but the freaky scenerios made it fun for me.

Hmm what the hell... I want to be able to play in both!! I am going to the Baltimore GT.... GRR! they are trying to multi task and make use of that big area they rent out at the expense of us GT players!

Really?

Last year I had wanted to play, but I ended up working. I had friends who weant and after the freaky missions I was glad I didn't go.

I am not planning on going this year because the missions were so incredibly irritating. Golden ticket? Setting up anywhere in the board, even in assault range? Wierd gravity randomly messing up the rules? That wasn't a contest of gamesmanship, it was a random irritating mess.

Think it will be the same this year 2500 sound slike a lot.
