Hi, Im a very new member to Dakka and decided to jump right in and show off my first models painted for an 2800 point space wolf army I have been collecting for the past year and a half and have just started to paint. I would love to have a little constructive criticism or other words of wisdom as far as additions to what I have so far.

My latest models I have been working on are these Blood Claws

Another Angle

And Another

Hey Wait ANOTHER. I got kind of picture happy here Sorry.

Close up on the bloody Chainsword-one of my favorite things to paint on these guys.

I went for some "Runes" (if you can call them that) on the knee pads.

*My Wolf Scout with HB. I am planning on getting rid of those ugly green base sides.

*And The Front at another angle

*The Back and a better close up on the gun

*Notice* Space Wolf Conga Line in the background.

OK, here's the deal with the pictures.

When you upload pictures to the article system, the 'code' it gives you to paste is for the article system only.

Coming soon we will have a brand new gallery upload system that will be much more streamlined for getting your pictures into both articles and forum posts (as well as the gallery, which isn't really functional as of now).

Until then, to get your pictures that you uploaded in the gallery system into your forum posts, you have to go to the article page created for each picture, right-click on the picture, choose: 'copy image location' and then paste that code into your post and surround the code with the [ IMG ] [ /IMG ] tags (but remove the spaces in the brackets).

HOWEVER, this will give you your full-sized pictures which are GIANORMOUS.

To get around this, I created a wiki 'army profile' for you:

http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Faux_Pas_-_Space_Wolf_army

Which then allows the pictures to be re-sized down to 600 pixels as you were trying to do. Once that article had been created I was able to right-click on the properly sized pictures and choose: 'copy image location' (which now references the small pics) and paste that code into your post above (surrounding the code with the [ IMG ] tags).

So if you want to add more pictures, do so into your army profile first, and then right-click on the pictures and copy the code into your forum post.

Whew. . .Does that make any sense?

Looking good on the models but watch out for those few mold lines that are seen, the ruin an otherwise good paint job. And Yakface no that makes no sense what so ever. lol

Yep, mold lines ar an issue. Could you explain how you put the colors on? It looks like there is a spray of the blu eover a grey. Is that the case? The models look..."pebbly"???? Almost stone flecked/textured. This could because of a spray of the blue or you are spray basing and keeping the can too far away from the model.

Also, a bit of a wash or blacklining would help bring out the details.. especially in the face/helmet.

Funny Story, well not really. Black Primed spray and a base coat of space wolves gray spray paint. After I decided I don't particularly enjoy the space wolf gray main color scheme I switched it to a gray. I then gave them a hand painted coat of codex gray. I used a really thick pot of old space wolves gray for the "Dry Brushing" which turned out rather stone-esqe, which I thought kind of looked like snow and therefore would match a space wolf army rather well.
