Just a quick suggestion, the bases are just barely smaller than a penny. Glue a penny to the bottom of em to add some weight...helps them from being bumped around and falling over.

i think that may be true in the US as well, as it constituted defacing/destroying/altering the federal currency:

------------------------------------------------------------
Title 18 United States Code, Section 331

Whoever fraudulently alters, defaces, mutilates, impairs, diminishes,
falsifies, scales, or lightens any of the coins coined at the mints of
the United States, or any foreign coins which are by law made current
or are in actual use or circulation as money within the United States;
or

Whoever fraudulently possesses, passes, utters, publishes, or sells,
or attempts to pass, utter, publish, or sell, or brings into the
United States, any such coin, knowing the same to be altered, defaced,
mutilated, impaired, diminished, falsified, scaled, or lightened -

Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five
years, or both
-------------------------------------------------------

not that i expect this is heavily enforced, particularly against gamers who have glued $.45 worth of pennies to their minis.

Same in Australia, it's apparently specific to images of monarchy. I think it was all annulled a few years ago, but our coins have a profile of Elizabeth II on them. It was illegal at some point when I was a kid to damage the coins, but not the plastic/paper bills. I bang Australian five-cent pieces under my jump packs and banners - they're just a bit smaller than the round bases. Don't know if that would be defacement though...

It's like, maybe I'm supporting foreign troops with Australian currency. Ooooh. Like the Imperium cares for your petty notions of nationality and independence.

You can't use coins (in aus) that are legal currency. You can't permanently attach them to anything. Blu-tak or the yellow poster tak or whatever is fine, though.

We used to use the copper 2c pieces as they fit perfectly under the plain plastic round bases (non-slotta 25mm).

Now, however, they aren't legal tender anymore. They were withdrawn from circulation when they were worth more as scrap metal than the face value.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

lol if you guys can get some testors glue, blue or green, and use that to attach them. if they give you crap just take a hobby knife and pop it out.

this doesn't permanently alter them or do anything to them. just keeps them there for a while. washers work too.

I've always used nickles under my bases. The US has similar laws, but I doubt anyone cares or would do anything about it. Ever seen those machines that crush pennies with logos on them?

Exactly.

Seriously guys, come on. There's some states in the US where oral sex is illegal, would you follow that law too? I'm talking about 6 pennies, total, if you bought the gamers edition. Anyone that wants to prosecute would have the case thrown out as the paperwork to file the suit would cost more than the 6 cents.
