Why does the smiley have to be a capital P? Why doesn't a lowercase p work also? I've seen both work on most other forums I frequent.

There was a good reason for this at the time but I cant remember it for the life of me now! The structure of the smilies code means that all the smilies would have to be case-insensitive if just one was, and that might cause some issues with false positives.
