OK I'm picking up a bunch of 2nd hand Plastics and Metals with Plastic parts that are no longer available, now I know of a Stripper that works without melting the Poly parts, But it's expensive and only of limited availability, so I'm looking for an alternative method.

I've heard that Double Boiling in Methylated Spirits works, has it worked for other folks? and/or are their other methods?

Here is a dysartes.com tutorial for a cleaning product called Simple Green. Apparently you can find it in Australia, though I haven't yet. It works really well apparently.
