I’ve decided that I want to repaint my Space Wolves army. They were my first ever army and the painting is quite poor quality.

My two questions are:

a) What should I use to get rid of the paint, one of my friends said brake fluid, and the results he showed me looked pretty good, is this a good idea or can you suggest anything else?
b) I want to paint them in this colour scheme

(if my html skills fail, heres a direct link http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/9118/lolspacewolvesqe3.jpg)

How do I do this? Can anyone give me a suggestion as to colours, layers, it looks to me like a very light shadow grey, but I’m not that experienced with colours. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey Gazzdag,

For stripping models I swear by Castrol's Super Clean. Not sure if it would be called that in your neck of the woods. I get it at Automotive Part stores. It is a degreaser, purple in color.

My guess on the colors used on those wolves: A base of Shadow Grey, Then Space Wolves grey, blended lighter still with white.

i use simple green to strip minis...
it works well, but i don't know if it's available down under...

for space wolves, i use a pretty simple recipe...
black undercoat...
a couple layers of shadow grey...
a few coats of shadow + space wolf at 50/50(this is my main colour, with pure shadow grey showin' only in the shadows, such as the underside of the shin armour right above the feet)...
finish it off with some fineline highlights of pure space wolves grey...

sometimes the blackline technique can look a bit harsh on marines of lighter colours, so a mix of about 3:1 shadow grey and black can be used instead of pure chaos black, or pure P3 coal black is a nice colour with a strong element of blue/grey in it...

the wolves are my favorite marine minis...look forward to seein' what ya come up with...

cheers
