So, im a Menoth player and am still new to the game but i want to start playing Cygnar, theyre pretty neat. Heres what i was thinking for a easy cheap 500

Warcaster: Captain Jeremiah Kraye
Heavy Warjack: Thunderhead
Heavy Warjack: Ol' Rowdy
Light Warjack: Hunter
Unit: Long Gunners

I'm not sure how many points Ol'Rowdy is but im guessing its around 120 which would put me at a solid 500. I just pan on playing for fun witht his army and the people i typically play with arnt very picky when it comes to points so if I'm within 15 points of 500 its no biggie. I also thought htis would be a good starter army and easy to adapt or expand.

A little light on the models count there ;-)

Thunderhead will work nicely with Kraye, Hunter probably too.

I'm thinking about putting a sentinel in. Together with that new unit of gun mages that is coming out you can get like 12 attacks or something from a single model if you want too.

I would suggest, one heavy, two light jacks, fill up rest of points with a usefull solo. Maybe also go for a melee unit instead of another ranged unit like the long gunners ?

But hey, I'm more of a melee dude anyway (and yes, I still play Cygnar ;-) )

I think Trenchers would work well with this rather than Long Gunners, but then again I only play against Cygnar instead of with them.

I think having them run up and use smoke to cover their advance is pretty good.

/second. I think trenchers would be a lot better than long gunners cause you can use smoke to screen your jacks for a turn. I think you are still gonna need a JWC.

It's a company which specialises in the selling of plastic representations of Elves, Goblins, and 9 foot tall superhuman soldiers from the future - have you ever considered that, as adults, it is US that is intruding upon THEIR world?

Trenchers are good. Trenchers with the UA are awesomesauce. Advance, dig in, shoot. Shoot, run away, etc.

If you want Kraye as your caster I'd suggest dropping LG's from the list. Kraye has no synergy with them. Also you may consider to replace Hunter with Charger or Sentinel to save some points and buy a solo or two (Arlan Strangewayes to keep your warjacks live longer or Journeman for Arcane Shield on Thunderhead). Trenchers sound good but Jeremiah is great with warjacks, especially light ones so give him more of them.
