So vehicles get cover from anything infantry gets cover from in the new rules .. How exactly does that work with infantry, if the vehicle has to be 50%+ obscured ?

What I mean is say you have like 4 space marines standing in front of a land raider's side armor (or even front armor really) .. looking directly at it you really CAN see about 75% of that vehicle's hull, including the spaces in between models. However do the spaces in between models count, or is it the general squad's "area," if you get my meaning, that obscures the vehicle ?

Space between models counts as obscured.

this is true for infantry but not for vehicles or MCs.

for those it is literally what you can see of the model. the space inbetween them is open space as far as vehicles are conserned. a vehicle or MC has to have more than 50% of itself out of LOS on the enemy to gain a cover save.

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live?

That's what I figured, but is there anywhere in the book that confirms this?

Page 62 under the vehicle rules.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

So infantry acutally gives vehicles save now? I think that is kinda gay... I mean should a pile of guardsmen really stop that multimelta shot that really should be able to go right through that landraider armour like it wasn't there?

Only if those guards men cover 50% of the land raider.
Which would be difficult unless they are doing cheer leader pyramids.

I currently use a few infantry to boost the amount of cover the vehicles already have from terrain.

They are very effective at turning 40% cover into 50%+
