Anyone else in Texas worried that Ike will affect them attending Ard Boyz or that it will affect the stores supporting it? I'm just curious as i'm currently in Waco, TX and was gonna head to Dallas for one of the stores there but it's predicted that Ike will be hitting the Dallas area around the early-mid pm which would make driving back fairly hard since they are also predicting that it will still be a Category 1 Hurricane (75+ mph winds). Just a thought i had. Anybody else got thoughts or think it will affect them?

Wait a minute, you are gonna let a little hurricane stop you from attending an Ard Boy? You obviously do not deserve to win an Ard Boy if you will let a hurricane stop you from playing. (joke)

Seriously, I think the store should postpone the event for a week. I cannot imagine GW denying the store in Dallas a one week delay.

One of the Indy stores near the coast will postpone their Ardboyz tournament till 9/20/2008. I'm trying to see if the GW stores will postpone their tournaments.

I've signed up to attend Ardboyz tournament at one of the four GW stores in the Houston area.

BTW, in typical Texan fashion, I have battened down the hatches and filled up on ammo.

Getting my broom incase there is shenanigans.

Maybe it's Gods way of saying that a Texan should not win the 'Ardboyz?

So I've manage to find a place to play in Arlington (Next to Dallas). That should be far enough from the hurricane.

I'm glad to hear bob that the houston ones have put it on hold, they have like 6 locations down that way that were gonna host and it only seems fair since you have a category 2, if not a 3 hitting you later tonight. Good luck man and stay low.

Well, power is still out at my house but at least we have running water and natural gas.

My brother-in-law is only about a mile away from me and he got power back on Saturday afternoon. I'm currently staying at his place enjoying the nice A/C and internet access.

Some places in Houston probably won't have power for up to 4 weeks but most will be back online in a couple of weeks.

I know Dickinson got hit pretty bad and that's where Predator Games was at. Not sure about any damage since the news are spotty at best. I tried to call the GW stores since Thursday but I guess the employees got let out early.

Hope Y'all made it out okay. Luckily we only lost fences and one tree. House seems to be okay. I can't see all the places where we have shingles due to some weird angles but I'll climb up on the roof tomorrow to make sure.
