Hey everyone, figured I'd share this little vid from military.com. It struck me as having alot in common with a bolter, smart grenade rounds, next to recoilless. I'm glad that it'll be backing me up being as I'm a forward observer. 13 Foxtrot Baby! Check it out!

I did 5 years and some change as a FISTer. Got out in Jan of 2007 as an E5. You'll do so many different jobs you'll forget just what it is your regular job entails. How long have you been in?

Very cool....

the most important question though is how it would do against a zombie horde....I think we're still stuck with shotguns.

This tells me you should be using a machete or other silent instruement in your quest for antizombification

So the laser picks the distance, adds a couple meters, programs the round to detonate at that point and fires at a high rate? Wow.
Cost of those rounds will be impressive to say the least.

Which means hardly anyone will have shot a true air detonating round in training.

The biggest issue I had with much of my gunnery training was that I never had true live ammo on board to see the true effects of the weapon system I was firing. It was always training rounds with the same ballistic capabilities but none of the payload. I'm speaking of my time as a Bradley gunner of course, not of actual rifle training, those rounds were all the same.

I'd want something with a silencer and a good position to fire from, if I was worried about making noise. No way am I getting close enough for me to have to use a machete.

The World War Z book was good reading, but oddly enough, too much fantasy was in it. Zombies move too slowly to swim, especially out to the deep waters where the submarine parts were played out. I like some realism in my zombie fantasies.

I'm brand new in the suit my friend. I'm still at Sill with the 1-78th, but I should be heading to Fort Drum by the end of October (Still waiting on orders and all) It's a hell of alot better here in the Army than the Air Force, I'll tell you that much. Any tips for a FISTer in training? BTW, I'd agree with the autocannon comment except it has the explosive prejectile rounds.
