What is the mission of this website? Most broadly, to accumulate and analyze polling and political data in way that is informed, accurate and attractive. Most narrowly, to give you the best possible objective assessment of the likely outcome of upcoming elections.

Well, that's going to be a daily visit until 11/4.

Yeah, I've mentioned a couple of times on this site. It's a really informative website for anyone wanting to look past the national polling data, and start looking at what really matters, electoral college results and the battleground states.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Adam Smith, who must have been some kind of leftie or something.

Oh you missed the daddy of all electoral vote tracking sites:
http://www.electoral-vote.com/evp2008/Pres/Maps/Sep18.html

It has historical maps (back to at least the last two elections) and in depth analysis of what is going on in the polls and coverage of what is going on in house and senate races. I like to think it is relatively impartial although some of the commentary may be slightly left of center. Their algorithm is well weighted and current. If you are interested in the travesty that is the electoral college it is for you.

It is the mathhammer of US politics.
