From TGN:

Perry Miniatures have announced the upcoming release of the first in a series of 28mm plastic Napoleonic miniature kits which will expand their French Napoleonic Army 1815 range of metal figures.

28mm Napoleonic plastics

From their announcement:

FN 100 Hard Plastic 28mm French Line Infantry 1812-1815. Available Mid-Late October

We are happy to announce that you can now pre-order our first box Plastic Napoleonics. The box contains 42 Infantry figures in campaign clothing (half in Bardin regulation short tailed ‘habit-veste’ and half in great coats, all in overalls), unit bases to allow customers to build units easily and quickly, 2 flags and uniform guides and many additional heads for converting.

The figures in the box represent a 36 man battalion (4 Fusilier companies, 1 Grenadier company, 1 Voltigeur company) in the typical march-attack pose of the period including command ( 1 officer, 1 standard bearer, 1 drummer) and with an additional 6 Voltigeurs / Grenadiers skirmishing.

All the figures are in mid-grey with the unit bases in sap green plastic. Recommended retail Price £15

Yep, I'm doomed. Officially. Going to have to get a couple of boxes for some Sharpe Practice

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

They look cool in the small pics, but I really want to see some nicer pics!

If they're on par with the ACW stuff (which they probably are) they'll be awesome.

Go Perry Brothers! I wonder what they'll do next? French cavalry, maybe?

I can see some interesting things coming out of these guys and the seperate heads that are popular at the moment. I see a cheap option for a unit of Trenchers or Long gunners for my Magnus Agenda Warmachine army. It's a shame the poses are so static. If they do some skirmishing infantry (Sharp's rifles style) they may be more useful.

Depends on how large they are. Warlord Games' 28mm plastic Romans, for example, are tiny in comparison to GW humans.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

I think the market for these is mass Napoleonic gaming and so you want the minis to rank up more than you want them to have interesting poses.

They are plastic though so it wouldn't be too difficult to repose them

Victirx is also coming out with plastic Naps.
