Folks,

I have two pages of subscribed threads and unsurprisingly most of them are dead - but I can't unsubscribe from them! At the bottom of each page of posts there is a "Subsribe" and an "Email when a post is made" links, but no unsubscribe. Am I missing something?

In particular, any thread I post in seems to auto-subscribe, and those ones are the ones I can't get rid of

Yeah, I'm also interested in this...

Also, I seem to subscribe to every thread I respond to by default? I cannot find a way to turn this off...

I am afraid that at the moment it is not possible to unsubscribe. In your subscribe list, updated threads will always be pushed to the top so you can be sure you wont miss out on anything, but this is slightly different than the way most other forums handle it (basically this forum software did not have any thread read-tracking with it and I had to bolt it on). I intend to overhaul the read tracking stuff early next year and that will include big upgrades to the subscription stuff.

You are correct - at the moment any thread you post in is automatically subscribed to.

Could you tell me what you find annoying about this please as it will help me develop the new read tracking/subscription stuff when I get around to doing it.

Thanks!

Hey Lego Burner,

Thanks for the explanation. I guess the reason I find it annoying, is that at any one time there are only a handful of topics I actually want to track in my own folder. If I am just posting on a conversation at the moment, I can use the recent threads tool to keep up-to-date.

It's not a big deal, though.

(Although I would like to not be auto-subscribed to every thread. It actually is now keeping me from making passing comments in threads, as I don't want to have to sift through them all in my CP.)

Cheers,

Yeah likewise. It's not a big issue there's just a big list of threads I have no interest in actually following

No big deal at all at this stage (although I'd hate to see how big Stelek's list is )

ok, pretty much what I had thought was the main issue too. Glad that there is not anything I missed.

All user 'subscribed threads' lists are viewable from the user's profile. Just go to a profile and click 'view subscribed threads'. Steleks is this long
