So yeah... pretty much I've narrowed it down to Goff or Evil sunz. I really like the checkery stuff but the evil sun automobiles and machines look donk. Im really stuck between the two what do you think?

Red has become a lot easir to paint thanks to the foundation red to underbase your red areas.

If you want to paint an army fast go Goffs, black all over with white checks is just too good to miss.
if you want more eye catching go the evil suns.

Also the fluff should be playing a part in your decision.

Im trying to go eye catching. I think goffs are kinda boring but cool looking at the same time. Any other clans that are eye catching? And If i go like evil sunz for example can I use ghazghul or if I went goff could I give my black trucks a "red paintjob"?

Scyzantine Empire

Stryder, you could always go with a mixed clan army... painting individual squads/vehicles appropriately. Ork Clans got their start back in RT/2nd ed and most armies at that time used squads from a number of clans: Goff Skarboys, Snakebite Boarboys, Badmoon Flash Gitz, etc.

Whose to say that a Goff Warboss didn't pound a mob of Evil Sunz into driving them to the battle?

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

You should make up your own clan with it's own unique history! Then you should throw that right out and play with a bunch of special characters instead.

No seriously, if you are going to pick a pre-chosen army might I recommend Evil Sunz. My buddy uses that clan and his themed army tears up the board.

There's nothing wrong with having multiple clans represented in a warband, and the latest codex encourages that. Eventually, if you expand your forces enough, you'd have enough Goffs or Sunz or both to run a themed list for one or the other.

I'm planning my orks to be Bad Moonz, Blood Axes, and a few freebooterz thrown into the mix as well.

The trick is to make your army look unified through the same basing and using a limited palette. Goffs use black, white, and red. Evil sunz use red, yellow, and black. I would consider going with a little more red on the goffs than is typical for the GW version (since it's usually just picking out highlights on items) and going with a little more black on the sunz (maybe even some black and red or black and white checkerboards, which do fit with them).
