I was wonderin if someone could please explain to me how to play a full turn of 40k,
I've only recently startd to get into the gaming side of 40k and am not sure how a turn works
exactly so I'm hoping someone could explain it to me.

at the beginning of the game you decide which player will go first or second

the player that goes first follows this turn structure

The Begining phase:
Use any ability that happens at the begining of the turn
Roll to rally any fleeing troops
Roll for and bring on any reserves (if applicable)

The Movement Phase
Move any for your units that are allowed to move.

The Shooting phase.
Target and shoot with any units that have ranged weapons.
Run any units that did not fire

The Assault phase
Attempt to charge with any units that are unengaged in Close Combat
Fight a round of assault.

The End Phase
Perform any actions that happen at the end of the turn.

The second player will then take their turn following the same structure.

A 'Full Turn' end after all players have had their 'Player Turn'

if you would like to know more then you can go into your local GW and talk to the staff there. im sure they will be happy to help you. the rule book will also explain everything in much more detail than we can here.

taking up the mission
Polonius wrote:Well, seeing as I literally will die if I ever lose a game of 40k, I find your approach almost heretical. If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live?
