If I'm reading this right, you can now get 2 TL lascannons, a TL HB, and a multi-melta on this thing. Seems like a rather cost effective way to get guns in a marine army, all things considered.

So will 3 land raider armies be more viable now?

Silly question, but how do you model the MM? You can't buy the bit anymore can you? Does it come in anything else that's easy to trade for?

the MM off of a Landspeeder or Attack bike might be your best bet, as they're designed to fit on a pintel.

Yes, I suppose I could use the ones I won't be using on my speeders, assuming I'm not using my speeders with MMs.

And they're all magnet based, so that should be pretty easy.

GW did the "honest" thing

You get the multi melta in the redeemer/crusader kit, but the lascannon sponsons are in regular LR one.

I think the twin AC hull mount is in Redeemer/crusader and twin HB hull mount is in regular.

Thank you GW for making us buy 2 kits to get necessary weapons we want. There is always secondary market to get what you need.

A thought just occurred to me: You know how you can take Razorbacks with Twin-linked Assault Cannons? Now we know which kit the Assault Cannons are coming from. The question now is where the Twin-Linked Heavy Flamethrowers on a Razorback are going to come from. Are Sisters of Battle in the line for a plastic tank kit?

Immolators already are plastic. I've never used the kit but I don't it would be hard to convert. As to the TL AC bits from the new kit, thewarstore has them, overpriced at 20 bucks, but they're up.

Indeed I think they will be. You still have to be stationary to fire all of those weapons, but if you are using if for purposes of a weapon base, then it can pour out some decent firepower. Add to that how good PotMS is now allowing one weapon to fire at a separate target from the rest, and it might actually be worth the 250+ points you are going to spend on it.

As an aside, it is funny how the new codex (again) 'out deathwings' the deathwing by allowing one LR to be taken for each type of terminator squad. So you can get 2 LR's as dedicated transports, 3 dreadnoughts of any type as heavy support through master of the forge, and 6 terminator squads after they have used the combat squad rule.

It's kind of funny how in 4th the Predator was our best shooting platform and in 5th it is the LR complete with a new kit!

My question for the panel is if you run 3 Land Raiders, what, if anything, do you put inside them?

I'm pretty sure that was the point. They wanted to allow for the maine marine book to make all variant lists, rather than relying on white dwarf articles and mini codexes.

Do you remember that time that thing happened?
