Hey Folks,

Am going through some real old boxes and found these weapons, and I don't know what they are I haven't actually played for very long, and I'm pretty sure these were donated to me. They're in a box with the old one-piece plastic terminators and multi multi multi part plastic tyranid warriors and hybrids, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything

Here's the pic:

Edit: Also from the photodump forum on this site, apologies to everyone who can see it twice:

I think they are the following:

1) I have NO idea Spike Rifle????
2) Either this is an old Scout Missile Launcher or Heavy Bolter, but I don't know which
3) I've been told this is a Conversion Beamer???
4) Pretty sure this is a Missile Launcher, but can anyone tell me from where?
5) (I have a BUNCH of these) - Bolters??? Hybrid Bolters?
6) Plasma something? The pictured one is the only one I have
7) Bolt Pistol?

Thanks guys,

Viperion

I tried to go to Photobucket too.

Okay, working now.

I don't know any of these. If they are GW models, they must have been released and then withdrawn during my long hiatus away from wargames.

They don't even look like 40k, to my eyes. Could they be parts from a completely different line of figures?

It's possible but unlikely....

The most likely origin for these boys is either Space Hulk and/or one of it's expansions I think.

Have found a pic of one of them (my number 4):

listed on this page as a "missile launcher from an old Chaos heavy weapons sprue".

Pretty sure they are all 40k guns of some variety...

EDIT: Am positive number 2 is a 40K weapon as I've found an OLD SCHOOL scout with one on his shoulder.. here's a pic from "Advanced Space Crusade" on boardgamegeek - the guy in question is third from the left (bad angle, but it's the same weapon):

5) Ork Shoota from Space Orks set
6) Ork plasma gun? melta? From same set.
7) Ork Pistol from same set.

Was a box of 36 plastic Orks, numerous weapons, arms and heads including shoulder-mounted plasma cannon, knives, swords, shootas and a few Power Klaws.
Not sure if it was 1st Ed. or 2nd, my box says Copyright 1990 on it.

London.

I'm pretty sure one and four are Chaos Autocannons and Missile Launchers respectively. The greenish dude above is a Genestealer hybrid, and I think these came with the chaos weapon sprue. Years ago at a junk sale I picked up a box full of random models, and these hybrids were inside. They came with these weapons, so it's the only logical outcome I can think of.

I really should be spending my time more constructively.

Cool thanks dude. The only one still not id'ed is number 3, which I've been told is a conversion beamer.... any takers?

That's a funny one. For some reason it reminds me of the very first Chaos Dreadnaught, which had a really organic look to it. This weapon looks out of place but it had its own outlandish rules in 2nd edition too. I think I'm right in saying that it's making a comeback with the current SM codex? Still, worth holding on to, for old times sake.

I really should be spending my time more constructively.

But looking at it with the Missile Launcher, Heavy Bolter and Autocannon... it's gotta be a lascannon man. They were the holy four of heavy weapons back in 2nd edition, and they would all be on the same sprue, just like modern day Devastators, for example.

I'm pretty sure it's a Lascannon.

I really should be spending my time more constructively.

Blackspike: Interesting! Definitely confirms those ones - which is a little weird as there were zero other Ork bits in that box Thanks again.

Anti-Mag: You're probably right mate Thought I may have stumbled onto some old beamers so I wouldn't need to buy new ones Still, most people wouldn't recognise them....

Thanks again all

The guy says it is a conversion beamer. It looks like the reverse of #3. Your guys says it is a conversion beamer. My guy says it is a conversion beamer. Sounds like time for a conversion. Oh-ho!

Awesome! Thanks Tacobake you are indeed redeemed

On the sprue I'd say the gun two up from the bottom left corner looks a lot more like a modern Lascannon....

I'm definitely going to claim it as a conversion beamer now

Second edit: It does not really look the same, does it. Maybe it is another Genestealer weapon.

No it is the same. The one on the sprue is the reverse side of the one that I have... hang on pic coming

Edit: Apologies for the pic quality, can't get the camera working properly today :(

There is a rather prominent skull on the large flat area at the back of the weapon as well

Edit2: Sigh. Yes, it is different. Oops

Edit3: The muzzle end is VERY similar but the shoulder end is significantly different...

I think these are from the old Rouge Trader days, not sure 100%, but I've seen a good many of these bits.

#1: Chaos Autocannon
#2: Heavy Bolter with Suspensor
#3: Lascannon (Note: While it may be an actual Conversion Beamer, I've seen it played as a Lascannon)
#4: Chaos Missile Launcher
#5: Boltgun
#6: Plasma Rifle
#7: Bolt Pistol
