I think you have the Orks covered with the two Predators. I think you have attempted to cover the Land Raider+dangerous assault squad with the Multimelta bikes and the meltagun armed squad. You've got the Lascannons with the Predators to cover light armor as in Chimera Spam or Immolator horde of Doom.
I hope there is a lot of cover on the board though for the Rhinos. I would worry about dual landraider army with power of the machine spirit taking out the two bikes on turn one leaving you with two meltaguns in one squad to deal with them.
Rhinorush with Heavy Bolters might be technically better than Rhino Rush backed by Baal Predators, but at least you don't pay $20 for your codex anymore!
Looking forward to bat reps.

I remember now that the BA player had a five man Dev squad with 2x las and 2x ML plus another 10 man tactical squad with a missile launcher... seems a tad heavy for 1500 points.
Thanks for the feedback on the list!

- 1st Batrep vs. Blood Angels -
My opponent and I each placed two objectives. I put mine on a ridge blocking LOS that ran across the middle of the table cutting the board in half. Note that the ridge was approximately 18" long so it did not run from one table edge to the other. My opponent placed his two in a corner close to my DZ but I deployed a good distance from his to take advantage of the ridge. He won the roll to decide who went first and opted to got second. I deployed all three rhinos behind the ridge with the two Baals in the back where they could snipe through a gap between the ridge and a large boulder close to my long table edge. I placed the two bikes up towards the front of the ridge but behind it so they could reach the back end of his gun line. I find that players fielding a lot of armor tend to try to keep their tanks away from the bikes and it worked this time as my opponent placed his predator and dreadnaught in the center of spread out gun line.
First Turn
The first turn I moved the rhinos up closer to the ridge to take better advantage of it blocking enemy LOS and spread them out so that each tactical squad could charge up the back of the ridge to hold those two objectives. The VAS transport was placed between the other two rhinos so that they were in a good position to counter attack my opponent's Lemartes and DC (which he chose to hold in reserve and deep strike). My bikes both turbo boosted out from behind the ridge and behind some other boulders so that they were still out of his LOS. The lead bike was in an excellent position to shoot and assault my opponent's small Dev squad sitting back along the edge of his DZ. My two Baals fired on one of his rhinos sitting by one of his two objectives and immobilized it.
My opponent moved his predator and dreadnaught up keeping them in the middle and a safe distance from my bikes. The other rhino moved towards his other objective situated in the corner. The predator, dreadnaught and Devs all shot at one my obscured Baals but could only shake it.
Second Turn
The second turn the lead bike sallied over beside his Dev team and killed one in the shooting phase. My one Baal that could shoot targeted his landspeeder and immobilized it, keeping it beyond half range from both Baals. The other attack bike rolled up behind the boulder left open by the lead bike. My lead bike charged the Devs but did no wounds and neither did he. The two units would continue to ineffectively club at each other throughout the rest of the game, which was fine by me since they could no longer shoot.
My opponent moved the mobile rhino up towards the gap where my two Baals were parked. The predator and dreadnaught continued to sit in the middle of his gun line. The tactical squad inside the mobile rhino disembarked. Again the predator and dreadnaught shot at my Baals but did no damage this time. Also Lemartes and his DC failed to show.
Third Turn
Third turn my other bike came out from hiding and moved into a position close enough to shoot at half range into the side armor of my opponent's predator but missed. Tycho, Corbulo and the VAS disembarked and started to trudge over towards the enemy tactical squad by the gap where my two Baals sat. The two Baals moved such that the enemy tactical squad's multi melta did not have LOS to them. The Baals then fired on the predator and stunned it.
My opponent moved up the disembarked tactical squad closer to the gap between the ridge and boulder. The dreadnaught was brave and moved towards the ridge. His one foot slogging tactical squad back in his far corner fired the missile launcher into the bike beside his predator and destroyed it. Nothing else could shoot since he decided to run the dreadnaught closer to the ridge.
Fourth Turn
Fourth turn Tycho left Corbulo and the VAS to line up a shot on the landspeeder. Corbulo and the VAS moved through the gap to charge his tactical squad. Tycho destroyed the landspeeder with his melta round and one of Baals destroyed the predator with a penetrating hit from an assault cannon... sweet! Corbulo and the VAS charged the tactical squad and brought them down to two Marines. They broke and successfully fled but could not regroup due to their proximity to my army line.
My opponent finally got his Chaplain and DC to arrive and they came in on the other side of the ridge. The dreadnaught then decided to move towards my VAS and away from the objectives on my ridge. The dreadnaught then shot the VAS, killing one with the missile launcher. The dreadnaught then charged them and was immobilized by a power fist attack.
Fifth Turn
Fifth turn both of my tactical squads charge up the back side of the ridge and vaporize Lemartes and his DC with rapid firing bolters and plasma guns. The Baals fire into the two remaining tactical Marines from the remnant squad and kill both. At this point I am holding two objectives to one with no way possible for the opponent to either contest mine or reach his second with a scoring unit. So we play it out got fun and that was pretty much it in a nutshell. I forgot about his whirlwind but to be honest it didn't really do that much.

The second game was a wash unfortunately for me... I was playing against the new Space Marines using rules to field a very fluffy and strong Salamander list... the problem was we got the rules wrong for the DoW deployment and instead of my entire army coming on the table 1st turn I had to roll for each separate unit as reserves. My army ended up coming in extremely piecemeal:
1st turn - 0
2nd turn - 1
3rd turn - 1
4th turn - 2
5th turn - 3
The first two rhinos to come in got destroyed the following turns and there was no way I could bash my way into assaults. I lost because I ended up in a ranged shooting war the last couple of turns... my twin-linked assault cannons, heavy bolters, multi-meltas, lascannons and plasma guns versus his all twin-linked multi-meltas. It was an honest mistake and no hard feelings on my part. In fact I had played this very same fellow the weekend before with almost a complete roll reversal... hee! That is a big part of what these last two weekends have been all about - learning out to play 5th edition from soup to nuts.
I think I would have had a good shot at winning if I could have had my entire army on the table the first turn... my lascannons and heavy bolters easily outranged his multi-meltas, plus the Baals' assault cannons are great for taking out lighter armor such as his drop pods and landspeeders. I think I ended up losing by a couple of KPs. Oh well!
At this point I was 1 - 1 going into the final round against IG.

he third game was versus IG. Again I was on the table with the long LOS blocking ridge. I won the roll for deployment and opted to setup first so I could take advantage of the ridge. To make a long story short we both setup on our own objectives. You could automatically control one objective by killing more enemy units than the opponent. I kept my squads inside their transports and waited for the IG drop teams to come in. They all came in by the third turn then I disembarked and killed them to get ahead on the number of enemy destroyed units and ended up with the win.
I came in 2nd best overall and won the award for best army.

In your second game.
Did you not nominate that you were bringing on from board edge on turn 1?
I know many here don't understand you have to decide what you are doing with your force that's not deployed intially. Choice is to put units in regular reserves or bring in from board edge on turn 1.

I started with my entire army off the table and brought them in using the reserves rule. I was unaware you can bring them all in on turn 1.
