From what I've seen from the new codex, some of my additions are no longer legal, and rhinos are now 35 pts. I was thinking it could go on rhinos for all, I ask what are your experiences with transports, and the use of tanks.

Well since marines basically get thier transports for free i dont see how you could go wrong. Even if you just used them to run around providing cover and occasionally tank shocking, theyd be good value still.

-Rhinos give more reliable mobility and protection from small arms fire than running in the open.
-All tanks more durable now with cover saves and the new damage tables
-In some places, people are tooling less long-range AT fire, making them less able to deal with large numbers of transports at a distance.
-Getting shot out of your transport isn't really much of a problem anymore, especially for T4 troops with a good armor save and high leadership.
-Each transport is worth a kill point, making it a problem to include them in a tournament/all comers environment.
