okay im new to dakka and warhammer 40k i heard that if you take a captain on a bike your bikes are troops, i dont have have the new codex to look and see i was wondering if some one can give me some detailed info on this, thanks alot in advance

Mounted Assault:
If your army includes a Captain on Space Marine bike, Space Marine Bike squads of at least five models may be taken as Troops choices.

I think the general agreement is that they still do not count as scoring units though, correct me if I'm wrong about that.

they are a non-vehicle non swarm troops unit that doesn't say it can't score....

Captain on Bike...therefore
Bike=Troops
Troops=Scoring

Therefore
Bike=Scoring

see i was wondering if some one could run nothin but bikes with the captain as bikes are troops if theres a captain mounted on a bike

No, that's not the general agreement. A while ago, it was thought that only Infantry Troops would be scoring, but it has since been revealed that ANY non-vehicle, non-Swarm Troops choice unit is a Scoring Unit.

Since Bikes are neither Swarms nor Vehicles, they're Scoring Units if purchased as Troops.
