Mission: Annihilation
Deployment: Dawn of War

Initial Deployment
My opponent chose to go first. He set up his Warboss with his Nobz in their trukk in the north east corner of the table.

Ork Turn #1
The wagons and trukks role on the table and advance right towards the center of the table. Everything is within kff range.

Daemons Turn #1
I choose for my fist wave: Seekers, both fiends, both grinders, and a unit of plague bearers. I roll a 2 and get the other half. I place the plague bearers in the plague bearers in the south west corner they proceed to deviate 7 inches due north. I place the horrors in the same place I had the plague bearers they also scatter 6 inches north and east a bit. I place the flamers down in the same corner a little further to the west and they scatter 11 inches off the table (thankfully I role a 6 and they go back in reserve). I place the keeper down in the same spot I put the pb's and horrors earlier and he scatters 6 inches south and east. The masque is my only hit right next to some woods on the far west on the western side of the plague bearers. The plague bearers and horror's role a 1 for their fleets so they aren't getting into terrain for cover today. The keeper rolls a six and backs up towards my board edge.

Ork Turn #2
The slugga boy battlewagon and 3 trukk's come zooming towards my lines. His entire army fires into the horror's and succeeds in killing them (but it did take all of his shooting).

Daemons Turn #2
For my reserves I get both grinders, 1 fiend, and 1 pb and the seekers (only leaving the flamers and fiends in reserve). The fiends, seekers, one of the grinders, and the plague bearers all summon in off of the icon in the pb squad. The other grinder drops in the ork backfield so it can get pot shots at the back of battlewagon's. His scatter moves him so that he can only get side shots. My plague bearers move up 2 inch's. My soul grinder manages to pen the slugga battlewagon and immobilize it. I run and proceed to roll ones for the plague bearers that just dropped and the fiends. My initially dropped plague bearer squad gets a huge 4 inches!! I spread them out hoping to be able to take the oncoming charge

Ork Turn #3
The three trukk's zoom up and unload the nob squad and 2 trukk boys squads. The shoota wagon trundles up and unloads into the fiends as do the big shoota's on all the trukk's, down go three fiends. 3 Skorcha's from the nobs get thrown into the mix, 5 plague bearers go down. His slugga wagon fixes itself. This uncovers my other plague bearers squad that couldn't get away. Needless to say both squads are sent back to the warp. The trukk boyz consolidate in front of the nobs to try to prevent assaults on the next turn.

Daemons Turn #3
My reserves come in both the flamers and the fiends. I deep strike the flamers right next to the nob squad. The fiends come in towards my table edge in the center. I'm trying to keep them out of shoota range and range of the slugga boyz in the trukk. Using the mask I pavane the nobz closer to my grinder and bunch them up all nice for the flamers. I get 24 hits and 12 wounds on the nobs. At which point I find out that every single model except for 2 are different. He passes one save, loses 1 model and has 10 wounds on the unit. Thank you wound allocation. The grinder drops a phlegm on the nobs and manages to kill 2 more and put a wound on the warboss. The backfield grinder shoots and the shot is saved by the kff. 3 fiends, 8 seekers, and the keeper assault the 2 squads of trukk boyz, when the dust settles i have 8 seekers, the keeper, and 2 fiends left. The grinder charges into the nobs. Warboss does nothing and the grinder crunches 2 orks, the pk fails to wound, nobs pass their moral check.

Ork Turn #4
His shoota battle wagon deff rolla's my flamers, he rolls a 6 and they all die. The shoota wagon then lobs shots into my seekers that are hiding behind my grinder losing half the squad. He takes a kannon shot from his slugga wagon into my fiends leaving only one of them left. The nob rips an arm off of my grinder and I return swipe and kill the nob but he passes his morale check. He shoots 3 big shoota's into the keeper causing a wound.

Daemons Turn #4
The seekers, keeper, and the masque move up to help finish off the nobs. The lone fiend goes kamakazie towards the ork shoota battlewagon. My big unit of fiends assaults all 3 trukks managing to immobilize one. My backfield grinder shoots at the dread and misses. My lone fiend manages to destroy the battlewagon in hth. The seekers and masque charge into the grinder combat and manage to kill off the rest of the nobs. The keeper fails to make it in and is left out in the open like a shooting duck.

Ork KP: 4 Daemon KP: 5

Ork Turn #5
The now dismounted shoota's shoot and kill my last four seekers. He uses the slugga wagon to def rolla my lone fiend and then hits the keeper. The fiend dies and he rolls another 6 for his hits against the keeper and causes six wounds, I actually manage to save 4 of them so the keeper survives with one wound. The big shoota's from the trukks and the dread shoot in and fail to damage the keeper.

Daemons Turn #5
The full strength unit of fiends charges all three of the trukks again. I manage to destroy 2 trukk's. The keeper runs in and destroys the dread. And here is where we ran out of time and since I now had the edge on kp we called it.

Ork KP: 6 Daemons KP: 8

After action:
I had a massive number of bad scatters and roles at the beginning of the game. It was a slow fight back up. I made a mistake deep striking the grinder in the backfield. He did nothing almost the entire game. I should have dropped him closer and went to town with his flamer and some hand to hand . I typically play a more horde type daemon list with not so many big monsters in it. In those lists I really like the masque but for some reason she wasn't all that for this game. I still have my love/hate relationship with seekers. They do about as much damage as fiends but they are just so much more fragile they tend to die whenever someone sneezes them. This list has a lot of easy to get kp and I think that will get me in trouble in a lot of games. I think the seekers are going to get traded in for some bloodletters, and I'm going to drop the masque and some other extra's and put in a great unclean one.
