assuming this picture is real and true, while the expressionjnwas unwise of McCain, it is hardly indicative of his character as a world leader.
How shallow modern elections have come. It is not McCain who looks ugly, but the voters who would be swayed by such images.

Honestly, the original version looks pretty fake to me. There's a clear 'halo' of blue around McCain's head.

There's a halo of blue around EVERYTHING; it's a blue background.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.
But there's no sense crying over every mistake;

The McCain photo is the real deal. Only reason I remember is that Reuters did an interview with the guy that took the pic (and how he captured it). Not that it matters regarding issues but link;
