Hey all,

A few recommendations from yours truly on the old video game front:

1: Valkyria Chronicles PS3 - Awesome turn based strategy/third person shooter/RPG! I bought the game just the other day and I love it! If you are a fan of Japanese animation then I strongly recommend this game, though I do recommend it even if you're not a major fan of anime. The game is rendered in a cell shaded/water colored-esque type of way which really looks good. The voice acting isn't too bad, some typical JRPG type of dialogue, but nothing too outlandish. The game play is great, with no major issues so far.

2: Fallout 3 XBOX360 - I also picked this game up and thought it to be rather fun, though I see it could fall into the trap of Oblivion where the world is so big you get lost without quite knowing where to go or what to do next...It pays to be "bad," though. Reading a few initial thoughts on the thread about Fallout 3, I have to agree that beating the tar out of everyone before you leave the vault is much more lucrative, than taking the nice guy approach.

Finally 3: Gears of War 2 - So far I am about 45mins-1 hour into the game and love it, but I loved the first gears too! So far there seems to be a story, unlike the first and there are a few interactive obstacles lying around. You can also knock over tables and use them as cover, which is a nice touch. I did have a glitch early on in the game during the training session, which required me to restart the check point. That was frustrating, but other than that I have had no other problems. So far it seems to handle like the first game, but the controls do feel a bit tighter. I haven't stuck to many obstacles while I have been in a roadie run, which is nice.

anyway, just a few games that I highly recommend for both the PS3 and 360. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask.

Thanks,
Chappy P!
