Now on with the show.
The set up using 4 sets of Star Wars Galaxy Tiles and doors from Litko Aerosystems -

Logically enough it represents the interior of Horus' battle barge.
Early smack talk!
Chaos deploys to protect Horus
One of the special rules is the power core, if you blow it up the ship starts to fall into the atmosphere and burn up. Sure enough both a chaos and an Imperial player both decided this was the bestest idea EVAH! and headed right for it.
BOOM! Everything in
3d6 inches goes away, including the Ultramarines!
The ship starts to burn, everything in front of the line is vaporized.
The Emperor had a strong start, almost single handedly killing off the Traitor Death Wing.
But when he reaches Horus... he's just short!
The Emperor falls!
Deepstriking Ultramarines to the rescue?
The Emperor rises again!
And runs right into the Traitor Deathwing with their invisible arms.
Unarmed marines take down the Emperor!
Victory to Horus... for now!
The lessons learned are with only 4 players we need bigger forces to keep this interesting. So more players or more forces.
Horus should be allowed to run around as well.
The 5
VPs for wounding the Emperor or Horus is a bit much, I might cut it to 1
VP per wound, plus 5 for taking him to 0 wounds.
A very minor change in the combat rules (power weapon+powerfist does not give an extra attack) put the Emperor at a disadvantage in a normal fight. So I might give him an extra attack to make up for it.
