What units do you feel must be in a Deathskull army? Mine are Lootas, Boyz & Grotz. I also own some looted Meganobz and a looted Dread. Any others you feel really fit the background and must be in there?

Depends... but it seems like Lootas and Looted Wagons are a no brainer. Other than that just about any unit *can* fit if you do it right. Give the Stormboyz Marine jump packs and they're looted Rokkit packs. Give the Ard Boyz Marine shoulder guards and shin guards and their Looted armor, etc. I have a Looted Land Raider for my Battlewagon and half my Warbosses bike is from a Chaos Marine bike.

A very good way to go with the Deathskull theme is to actually loot all the characters in your army. Coordinate raids on GWs across the continent. You'll have enough Boyz to play mega-sized apocalypse in no time.

But as the Green Git said, Lootas and Looted Wagons are a no-brainer.

Deathskulls are really heavily based around the modeling.
Battlewagons (leman russ, land raider), Looted Wagons, Lootas, 'Ard Boys (looted armor), Grots, etc.
Just about anything works if it's modeled right. And don't forget lucky tattoos!

I like to include barna boys too, as I imagine them using their blow torches to 'cut out and keep' all the goodies left around after the battle.
