Laying siege to the Temple of Pecans.

I've been "into" 40k ever since I was young.

I've never started taking it seriously until a year or two ago when I decided to actually paint one of my older models. I entered it into a painting competition at the Gurnee Mills GW and nabbed second place, not bad for my first paint I believe.

Anyways, I've gotten a few of my friends into it and we're all prolly going to pitch in and get the new Blackreach starter and finally learn how to play.

I currently am working on my first official army, Tyranids, and I now have access to an airbrush. A real airbrush, not the citadel squirt-gun.

I guess my question is, how many of you have had good experiences with airbrushes in terms of squad painting? Do you recommend the citadel paints or 3rd party paints for airbrushing. If 3rd party, then what works best?

I apologize any noobishness.

Oh and have a happy and safe Primary Gifting Period.

Welcome to Dakka aunshova.

As for experience with the airbrush I'm sorry but I can't help much there. Most I ever done is paint some tanks with one.
One thing you might think of trying is "dipping" your Tyranids. There are plenty of great shots and a tutorial or two on here about how to do it.
