The second battle at the 1500-point flgs tourney. This time I'm up against Imperial Fists Space Marines (It's just the paint scheme, not themed, so Pedro showed up)

6 Tactical Marines
6 Tactical Marines

1 Razorback
5 Sternguard (or something, close enough)

BATTLE 2

Deployment: Pitched Battle

Primary Objective: Sodimization *cough cough* Annihilation

Secondary Objective: Assassination (Destroy their HQ units)

Turn 1, Orks
I advance everyone forward except the Lootas, who found a nice hill to occupy. The Lootas fired at a Vindicator and did nothing.

Marines
He sits back and starts firing on my Boyz. About 9 Boyz died while missiles and Lascannon shots whizzed past my Kanz and Dread. Pedro calls down his Orbital Bombardment and misses completely.

Turn 2, Orks
Advanced everyone again and called Ghaz's WAAAGH! all but too early. Didn't get within assault range leaving my Boyz like sitting ducks out in th open. The Lootas fired again at the Vindicator and again did nothing.

Marines
Uh oh. He drove his Land Raider up and he manages to fire everything he had at my Boyz. 19 more Boyz die. Yow. This left the Nob who ran last battle going it alone again (thank you Prophet of da WAAAGH!). The Land Raider opens and out comes the prize inside, his Captain with some Marines carrying an ancient Necromunda flamer. They charge Ghaz's Boyz and cunningly do not direct their attacks at Ghaz, but rather the Boyz. This is to win combat resolution and run down Ghaz. 3 Boyz die while 4 Marines bite the dust from Ghaz. The Marines didn't run thanks to their new Stubborn rule.

Turn 3, Orks
Advanced everyone, the Deff Dread having his sights on Pedro who recently came out of his Razorback, and the Big Mek seeing an opportunity out of the Razorback that was carrying Pedro. Lootas fired at one squad of Marines and killed 1, while the Kanz fired at the Assault Marines and killed 1. 4 more of Ghaz's boyz died to the assault but Ghaz killed the runty Captain and his boy, scoring me 2 KPs. Dread along with the Nob went after Pedro and his Sternboyz while the Mek went after the Razorback. The Nob was killed, giving him a KP, but the Dread held through and killed 2 Sternboyz. The Mek made the Razorback explode, killing 3 Boyz and 1 Sternboy and giving me a KP. The bloodbath wasn't over yet, it seems.

Marines
He advances a Marine squad and bounces his Assault Marines toward Ghaz. He parks his Land Raider in an impossible but game-legal position (between two rock formations on an upward angle, looked rather funny) so it can pop some Lootas. He fires at the mob that initially accompanied Ghaz's boyz and destroyed it, giving him a KP. His Land Raider popped a Loota with it's Lascannon and another with its Heavy Bolter. He nailed a Kan with a Krak Missile and blew it up. The Assault Marines charged Ghaz's boyz and got a wound on Ghaz and 2 more Boyz dead. 3 Assault Marines died. The Dread killed the last of the Sternboyz and gave me another KP. Pedro was now alone against the Dread, and managed to take off a CC Arm.

Turn 4, Orks
Mek and his Boyz ran after the rather close Vindicator, figuring it was time for it to die too, as the Kanz ran toward another Marine squad. Lootas opened up on the Marines nearest to the Kanz and blew away 3, leaving it at 3. Kanz fired at the same squad but missed. The Mek charged the Vindicator and the Nob who was with him got a Wrecked result on it, getting me 1 more KP. The Dread missed Pedro completely and lost his other CC Arm. Ghaz killed the last of the Assault Marines and lost 2 more Boyz and taking another wound.

Marines
He pours all his fire onto Ghaz's Boyz, killing all the Boyz and gaining another KP. The Marine squad near the Kanz blew away one more Kan. Pedro Immobilized the Dread twice but just started destroying the Skorchas. The Marines assaulted the Kan and got 1 of themselves killed while stunning the Kan, doing nothing.

Turn 5, Orks
Ghaz had a choice here; go after the Land Raider or the join the assault with the Kan. He decided to go after the Land Raider since he knew he could krump anything he touches. The Lootas opened up on the Vindicator and blew up it's Demolisher Cannon, whew. The Mek saw an opportunity to shove his Burna up the abdomen of Pedro. The Mek joined the Dread in krumpin' Pedro and succeeded, earning me 1 more KP. Ghaz popped the Land Raider, earning me yet another KP. The Kan killed 2 more Marines.

Marines
It's not looking so good for the Emperor's Finest. They've got a full unit of Tactical Marines, another unit down to it's Sergeant assaulting the Killa Kan, and a Vindicator that can't shoot. They pour their fire onto Ghaz, missing most shots and failing to wound with any hits. The Sergeant was killed by the Kan, earning me 1 last KP.

The game ended here, rolling a 1 on the game-ender die.

Primary Objective: 2 Kill Points Earned
Secondary Objective: Neither HQ killed

This resulted in me gaining a Major Win, for both Objectives met by landslide.
