My name it Trevy, and I've been lurking in these forums for the last three months, trying to find the courage to come out and say 'hi! I have to say, the quality of most of the posts on this forums, the discussions, army lists and models displayed on this forum is truly astounding, and I would really be honored to be a part of this community, giving back hopefully more than I take from it.
Anyway, I've been in the hobby around seven years now, starting when I first saw the Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers starter set in the window of my local store. That store has been closed for several months now, but the impact it made on me (and especially my wallet) lingers still. Since that first trip to the store all those years ago I've branched off into all three of Games Workshop's main games with zeal, as well as dabbling for quite a while in Battlefleet Gothic, Mordheim and Necromunda. The jury's still out on Inquisitor, but I may go =][=munda at some point in the future.
Well, I hope to communicate electronically with you all in the future, and look forward to being in this forum's community.

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

Wlecome Trevy_The_Great!

I was fond of Inquisitor myself, but independent Necromunda-style rulesets are dominant, and simpler. The rules are supposed to aid roleplaying, not drive it, which is why the over-detailed-but-still-lacking-in-detail Inquisitor flopped IMO. That and the huge models you couldn't find conversion bits from. No such issue on 28mm scale! The friends I played Inquisitor with generally agreed that we could cut the core of the system down to d10 and it was just as good.

Warbands for Necro and Mordheim make great modelling projects whether you play with them or not. Show us your work!
