This was a cool game type that my friend taught me. It’s good for just quick causal play.
Basically you just each have a 400 point army and no 2 plus saves and vehicle armor cant total to be higher than 32. Required 1 troop but no other foc. It’s really fun.

Anyways I just ended up taking a squad of 6 grey knights and a squad of stromtroopers with a chimera. He had to walkers and a squad of rangers.

This game type is quick and its either you shaft or get shafted. By the end of Turn 3 I had gotten my grey knights into close combat with his rangers and my chimera had taken out both of his walkers. He had managed however to get my stromtroopers down to 3 guys and forced them to start falling back. Needless to say space marines on steroids with close combat weapons that give a 2+ to strength cut through eldar rangers like butter.

I also played my brother's Tau army with almost the same army list except brought a sentinel instead with an auto cannon instead of the chimera and got completely shafted my grey knights ended up only killing 2 of his fire worriers and then my sentinel killed one and then got shafted by his crisis suit. However my storm troopers held up extremely well against his kroot which had a 3+ cover save. Needless to say even though tau are crappy in 5th in you get within rapid fire range against a whole squad you'd better have loaded dice cause there is no way you can get into close combat without sacrificing a squad to torrents of fire.

also we played on a 5 by 4 board

Sounds like the combat patrol mission from 4th edition. They are pretty fun for a quick game and daemon hunters are really hindered in low point games. Take that chimera always if it killed two walkers

This is silly! Buttons are not how one escapes dungeons! I would smash the button and rain beatings liberally down on the wizard for playing such a trick!

Thats kinda what the game type was taken from. Yeah having a transport on the field in low points games helps alot cause not much can take it out
