Thanks I don't have that much time but, i'll post part of round 1.

My Opponent
Sisters of battle power boob horde
Mission 3 OBJ's pitched battle,

My regular strategy of place terrain to y advantage didn't work since the tournament made it so that each terrain piece scatters 3d6.

His List from memory

Cannonaess- cannoness things? no jump pack.

My initial thoughts, wow I should steam roll this. He's got a ton of scoring models that will be a bitch and he's got a ton of eviceraters and melta guns so redeemers have to be careful.

Deployment
I deploy first setting up in my usual style in the center vreating an armored spearhead. He just filled half his deployment zone and left his repentia in reserves. Note that he also left 2 sister squads out of cover.

My Turn 1
Rush forward with the raiders. Pop smoke advance the vindies and shoot them and an orbital bombardment killing almost 20 sisters.

His Turn 1
Sit there and fire heavy bolters at my vindicaters side armor knocks off a weapon.

My Turn 2
Advance 1 land raider up burn a few girls but he faiths for a invul on most of his army. Termies get out and combo charge the cannoness a retributer squad and a sister squad and lose 2 and kill 4-5 but they all stay. My other land raider rides up to a near by sister squad flames them despite their invul and the tactical hops out and charges. 3 of his squads are stil unengaged so I charged my attack bike into them hoping to keep it tied up so that it couldn't melta my land raider. I'm no going to ignore my attack bikes and thi squad since they are engaged in this combat until turn 7!.!.!.

His Turn 2
shoot a little more and immobilizes the useless vindie and shakes the other. counter charge 2 more sister squads into my termis and uses all his faith and kills them all .

My turn 3
my tactical finishes off the sister squad and advances to try to get into my raider next turn. Botht raiders flame a good 15-16 girls and he gains faith points. Pedro kantor gets out alone and chrges a sister squad and kicks 2 move them in the ass with his dick...

His Turn 3
Repentia are in and charge the tactical squad and the land raiders making a mockery of both and then he shoots a liittle more.

My Turn 4
Vindicater aat the repentia killing 5-6? burn a few more thing with the redeemer. Contest an OBJ with it and capture an OBJ with a unit in a rhino. Up 'till now the score has been 1-2 him.

His Turn 4
Repentia eat the vindicater this is a crucial mistake since the other land raider was also in charge distance and contesting the OBJ. that's about it.

My Turn 5
land raider rolls over and burs up the repentia. and I secure my 2 OBJ's so that he can't hold them.

His Turn 5
Last sister squad blows up raider? ok he's no longer holding anything?

We roll and play turn 6

My Turn 6
sit there and kill his retributers

His Turn 6
relocate his siters back to his OBJ.

We roll and play turn 7

My Turn 7
took a few pot shots.

His Turn 7
Kills kantor with rending from his sister squad (god damn invulnerables)! that's it.

Game ends Ihave 2 OBJ's and he has 1 I win and get 2 bonus points for a 17.

Next round some doble lash chaos and a slowed mission.

Looks like you are going to absolutely crush that list. He has no long range anti-tank at all and his meltaguns aren't exactly mobile as your opponent didn't take any transports.

Your Vindicators are going to be ace in this match-up, as are your Assault Terminators (as always). The Redeemers will need to get close to fire their guns, but if he doesn't manage to kill them in the one turn he has for that (when you are in his range), than they are going to kill a lot of sisters as well.

Looking forward to the battle report (and of course the battle reports about the other match-ups).

Thanks! I appreciate it here's a taste of my round 2

This 1 had a very slowed mission. To win you had to have the highest costing unit in the other players deployment zone.

My Opponents list
2 lash princes

2 units of 10 plauge marines melta flamer champ with fist in rhino with extra armor.

8 khorne berzerkers with a fist

2 units of 8 lesser demons

predator anhilator thats possessed

land raider that's possessed.

Deploment he wins the roll for first turn but then he gives it to me. I deploy in the same manner as usual and in the center. He deploys with his 2 rhinos and lash princes and land raider on 1 side of the table and the predator in the other.

My Turn 1
I advance my army torwards most of his and take pot shots and do nothing.

His Turn 1
He makes a mad dash at my deployment zone and shoots my land raider with the terminaters with his predator and immobilizes it. Damn.

My Turn 2
I throw my attack bikes out their and try melta-ing things and knock out a rhino. My vindicater on the outside that's now next to immobile land raider tries to swing around the back of it as insurrance for when he does get into my deployment zone. My termies stay in the raider mostly because, I forgot about them. Mistake number 1.

His Turn 2
1 squad of lesser demons come in and charge my attack bikes. NOOOOOO!!! His 1 polauge squad accompanies the other as they get into my deployment zone. His land raider make a sharp turn sideways away from all the action? I didn't realize why until later. His predator knocks out the vindie that tried to swing around damn it there goes my insuarnce policy.

My Turn 3
Decisions, Decisions. On 1 hand I could roll my 2nd raider deep in his deployment zone and hope the las cannons don't blow me up and on the other I could bring it back hoping to kill all the plauges. 1 way has basically a 50-50 win loss percent ratio which is looking worse and worse the longer the game goes on. The other made it an auto-draw and looked better and better ifhe game went on. I choses the latter. Mistake number 2. I drove my razorback right in fornt of the raider and hopedd to blow it up with the combi-melta. But failed. My raider drove back and I unloaded a marine unit and charged a lash prince and the demons while in pedro's bubble killing them all after combat rez. Termies got out of their raider and ran to get into combat.

His Turn 3
He lashes my marines 4 whole inches! and deffends his plauges with his 1 mobile rhino. His raider rolls around even more in the opposite direction. And more demons came in and charged my attackbikes again...

My Turn 4
Pedro rolls out and charges a plauge squad after it got flamed and vindicated and thanks their powerfist did simultaneous death. Razorback runs for his deployment zone. Termies keep running.

His Turn 4
Melta blows up my land raider. Then las cannons blow up vindicater. Now I know that i've lost. His land raider moves a little and tries to knock out temies but epic fails.

My Turn 5
do what I can to not lose, my termies charge plauges and wipe them out and razorback gets in his deployment zone. Wait a second taht menas i've won!!!

His Turn 5
Land Raider rolls into my deployment zone (oh now I get it) I have nothing that can kill it at this point besides the attackbikes and they're in combat and even if I do kill it I can't kill the berzerkers inside.

Game ends anyway.

I walk away with a 7 if I max out I can still win though

I think it was pretty obvious from the start that your opponent would try to get his Land Raider into your deployment zone. His Plague Marines would've been another alternative of course, though that would take them out of the game completely due to their short range. Besides, he would've needed those Meltaguns to stop your Redeemer from moving towards his deployment zone.

I think throwing your Multi-melta Attack Bikes out there so early cost you. They shouldn't be hunting Rhino's, they should be hunting either the Predator or the Land Raider!

Despite the tactical errors (not paying attention to the mission objective being the big one here) I think you were unlucky on this one. His Predator seemed on fire early on in the game, immobilizing your valuable Terminator carrying Redeemer and killing a Vindicator in the first two turns.

Thanks for the write up so far. I've been looking at another thread trying to view your army. I've been interested in a Marine army, but can't decide. Pedro has been a big contender, though.

This is exactly what I was thinking at first as well. Untill he mentioned being in a winning position when his Razorback moved into the enemy deployment zone. I think the victory conditions were: whomever has the most costly (in points) unit in the opposing players deployment zone wins!

Airmaniac is correct but, the issue was that his plauge units were more exspensive than my land raiders. Making it MUCH harder for me to win.

And as I said in another thread this was the only game where I was outplayed but, the mission didn't help either.

I agree I was too aggresive with the attack bikes but I think a bigger mistake was keeping them together so that they could both be assaulted by 1 unit.

From what it seems, Pedro is underwhelming. I've used him as well, and didn't find him that impressive. Has he been at all valuable? Besides Orb. Bombard., which any Chapter Master gets? Dorn's Arrow is decent, but still...

Honestly I was having secdond thoughts about him beffore this tournament but after this tournament he's DEFFINETLY STAYING. What I didn't mention in the above posts was that without pedro I wouldn't have won nearly as many combats as I did because I never mentioned his bubble. Anyways in my previous fight with the plauges it was a calculated risk that I may do to the fist but, it would have been awesome if it worked andif I never let pedro see combat i'm not getting all the bang for my buck.

4 units of 10 marines wiht razorback and rhinos the razors had 1 TL ass cannon and 1 TL las cannon assortment of weapons.

Pretty much a jack of all trades list with nothing special but I have lots of tank so it could be a match.

Deployment I deploy in my usual manner hiding the bikes and the transports (in hindseight I should have left the transorts in reserve no big deal though). He deploys back in his.

My Turn 1
ride up take some pot shots knock outa rhino and a few marines.

His Turn 1
He shoots blowing up a vindicater.

My Turn 2
I run the raiders up 12" and pop smoke fail to do anything with shooting.

His Turn 2
Shoot the termie land raider with 1 las cannon and blows it up? casts null zone and proceeds to wipe them out.

My Turn 3
Counter charge with my tac squad and Pedro. Attack bike kill the raider and the ither misses. Pedro and friends kill the assault squad in 1 turn. And I immobilize the dread.

His turn 3
move around stay away from Pedro (awwww he's scared) but he blows up both the razorback and the rhino.

My Turn 4
Land Raider rolls over and burns 10 marines to a crisp and Pedro and friends run to try and engage 2 tacticals next to each other next turn. Attack bikes epic fail.

His Turn 4
He shoots a las cannon at the raider doing nothing and knocks out an attack bike.

My Turn 5
Land Raider burns 5 marines and Pedro's squad difficult terrain in the movement phase snake eyes. Then difficult terrain in the assault phase 1 3 and I started my turn 5" away WHYYYYYY!?

His Turn 5
Ok i'm still ahead on kill pints but unless he can get for more I win

He shoots the same las cannon blows up the raider thats 2 he shoots an assault cannon that's an attack bike for 3 and 5 marines rapid fire at my 5 man squad with a missile launcher this is only with bolters he kills 4 and I fail my LD test and flee off the table that's 4.

With that game ends KP's were 12-12 and I don't get any bonus points for a 10 ouch!

terminaters with re rollable saves and ass cannons i a drop pod

3 squads of 10 grey hunters with an assortment of weapons all in drop pods

5 scouts anti tank things?
