right, first off the menoth list

kreoss
redeemer
redeemer
choir
knights exemplar
8 temple flameguard
max size zelots W/ monolith
and reclaimer solo

i shield wall the flameguard to protect the zelots. kreoss casts the +2 def +2 arm on them to aid in this

basicaly, pop and drop. blow the feat, and rocket, fire bomb, relic blade charge them to death. the reclaimer is there so he can pump out those magic shots for everyone who dies.

and now the khador

sorsha
behemoth
mortar
mortar
8 iron fang pikemen
widowmakers
kell
eiryss

i think there might be one more unit, but i dont have my cards on me right now.

shield wall iron fang pikemen with sorshas fog of war over them making them DEF 15
widowmakers and kell pick off whatever, eiryss helps and nails the caster with her no focus bolt whenever she can.
mortars and behemoth dish out thier nastyness.
when the feat is blown, all hell breaks loose. next turn, she freezes whatver she can with her spell.... if i can, i icy rush up so i can freeze the caster and nail him with boosted behemoth shots, and mortars.

Icy Rush FTW.

Ditto on the Khador list. Both are pretty solid.

By my math, you're at 479 points. No need to drop anything.

Ya youve got enough points left for a wardog and I would highly recommend one.

With Sorscha, beware of casters with high ARM and Wound values (Butcher, Darius, Karchev). iirc, she's P+S 13, so that's averaging 24 points a shot. That's enough for casters around ARM 16, but someone around 20 (or higher), and she can't put out enough damage. Now, if you can line up the Behemoth for a charge instead, he'll do a lot of damage quickly.

Both are pretty standard, and powerful lists. You may not make too many friends if you're playing lists that aren't at a similar power level.

Why no Beast-09 with Sorcha? Isn't he like "Khador's best 'jack"? I just don't see a reason to take ao many AOEs to a 500 point game (the Behemoth and two mortars). It's not like there'll be THAT many units to shoot at...

i loves me some pie. that and on her feat turn, the mortars will actualy hit for a change, on top of the behemoths shots, there is enough AOE to do some serious dammage.... next turn, she casts her 4 focus spell to refreeze another unit which is then, in turn oblirated by my AOE's.

i have thought about dropping my mortars and picking up a juger. but at only 6 focus, and with the behemoths abilty to chew through it, i figured i would never get to put them to good use.

there are only a few warmachine/ hordes players in our group. one plays the khador man-o-war army, one plays darius list, and one plays thrargash everblight....

Machinics..... thats what i forgot to add in the khador list. i put in a machinic unit to help keep the behemoth up and running.

What about taking something out and adding Greylords to the mix? I just think that the army may be really weak to a shooting/caster heavy army. My friend plays cygnar and he manages to slaughter ALOT of my infantry pretty easily with longgunners. I had a squad of winter guard, IFPs, and widowmakers that all got mowed down in one turn to a cygnar player with gunners/tranchers/gun mages and haley's feat. I think if you were up against those and exposed Sorscha to use her feat, then the cygnar player would probably drop her. With greylords, you could use warjacks to screen them and sorscha, then freeze mortar targets as you move up with the jacks, really no amount of infantry fire is going to bring down the warjacks.

With the Combined Ranged Attack ability a full unit of ten long gunners can fire twice and hit with 20+2d6 damage. That takes down warjacks. The trenchers also have CRA.

I don't like the protectorate list. I mean if you want to win, I guess. I just take no pride in a list where by popping my feat, something that happens whenever I want, I can auto-win provided my two fully-focussed redeemers can not roll multiple sets of snake eyes.

Just me I guess. I like to feel like I earned it.

yeah true, 20+2d6 would deal ALOT of damage even to a khador jack, but thats why I run with a Vlad in my army. I love the Mortars, they outrange everything in the game and CAN deal ALOT of damage if you are semi lucky, really makes people think twice about moving their troops around. I have a 500pt list that has 2 mortars in it. They are pretty useful against range armies so long as you can freeze the enemy troops, and picking off arc nodes as they tend to be pretty soft. I try and freeze light solos with Vlad and then drop mortar shells on them (pwr16 is capable of dropping some light jacks in one shot or at least heavily damaging them). My friend fields a hunter in almost every battle, and my mortars have proven to be very effective at nuetralizing it.
