I'm heading down to a big annual event and decided to give my Vampires a rest, which left my DoC army as a nice choice. I have had mixed success with them and was wondering if the Dakka community had any advice or suggestions? Now down to business...

I give my Tzeench Herald winged horror instead of spell breaker. Its important to be able to fly out of the horror unit when it is about to get charged.

By the same token remove the banner from the horrors. You don't want to give your opponent an easy 100 victory points from killing your horrors.

Consider Noxious vapours for the nurgle herald.

Cut Pyrocaster I don't think is worth it yeah he is bs5 but you can roll bad for his shots.

Use the freed up points not sure how many you get to bolster your Flesh Hounds and/or Seekers of Slanesh to 6 strong so you can lose one to shooting and still have 5 to attack with.

All in all it is a decent DoC list. Its not overpowered but it does not lack anything. The only thing I would suggest would be to try to find some room for Furies. They are a great addition to any list. They allow you a little more freedom when it comes to fighting armies with cannons and bolt throwers.

Unfortunately I am unable to change this list. I talked to the management (who had me send this list in earlier with my registration) and apparently the list is already 'locked in'. Although the advise is greatly appreciated and will be taken into account next time I make a list.

On a separate note, i've had terribly luck with furries. They have either been blasted, shot, or CHARGED before they can get to a target...talk about paranoid empire knights,-who charges furries!?!? But yes, they are a nice cheap fetch unit that can get rid of pests.
