To be a warmachine/Hordes specific term, the phrase has to
- Apply to multiple factions in the game
- Be specific to Warmachine and Hordes
- Not necessarily a rulebook rule. Looking for shorthand or slang terminology.
Ones that I have thought of:
Autoinclude
Caster kill
Running hot

Cheese (As WM/H specific as 'Auto-include')
P+S (Well, Dakka doesn't highlight it and I know it can get a bit confusing sometimes...)
That's about all I can think of.

This isn't for the glossary, but for the article system.
I'm looking for terms that might not be familiar to someone who has played a few games, but
are immediately familiar to veterans.

Sportsmachine?
WM/H players don't call it "cheese." If something is broken, they'll just call it "broken."

Sportsmachine refers to when players either want the game to
be more "balanced" and standardized to the point of
deploying boring terrain or players hate it.

Dice plus/minus X (like when you're rolling Pow 16 vs. Armor 18, you throw the dice and say 'Dice minus 2')
AD - common shorthand for advanced deployment
Pop feat - Use the warcaster/warlock's once per game Feat.
Drop and pop - Knocking down the models blocking LOS to your target (warcaster/lock) to clear the path.

Thanks for the suggestions! Advanced Deployment probably doesn't need its own
explanation, but pop feat and drop and pop make sense.

Pulse and Aura are the biggest ones I can think of.
Buff and Debuff are also common.

There was a video on YouTube of a Tournie in Poland where the only words of English spoken were things like, "Dice minus 4 to hit," "It has stealth so it automatically misses," and "this die equals location."

9. Common argument among people regardless of what they play.
3. Once a tactic for Allister Caine, but now applies to other casters and factions.

Skarrebomb - All factions must learn to fear the Skarrebomb.
'____bomb' - a powerful tactic or combo that triggers off a single model or ability.
'indirect slam' - slamming an (often friendly) model to knock down (or damage) another enemy model.

The whole lawyering of the turn sequence. when something is removed, versus destroyed, versus vaporized, versus turned to ash...
if someone came up with a wiki on the WM/H turn sequence and operations that can effect models / units at each step... that would be a HUGE resource.
not that I'm going to do that ...

Waterfalling. The concept of using a unit that can make a CRA or CMA (combined ranged/melee attack) as well as gain an extra attack somehow. One example I've seen is with Arcane Tempest Gun Mages, where guy 1 makes a riccochet attack, and then with the extra attack given by riccochet, combines with guy 2, who leads and makes another riccochet attack, then on guy 2's second attack, he assists guy 3.....
It ends up with guy 1 making a normal attack, and the whole rest of the unit getting to make their attacks at +2 Mat/Rat and Pow.
