Me and the other half had a quick game last night as I wanted to test out some new units. We also used a special rule for the razor wire as it wouln't do anything at all for difficult terrain.

The Iron Warriors started in a small base which had a large ruin with two floors, then a small ruin. A centre barricade was between the ruins and two lines of razor wire joined the barricade to each ruin.

Orks

1 x Warboss - power klaw, combi skorcher, heavy armour, cybork body & attack squig

9 x Burnas inc 1 x Mek w/ big shoot - looted wagon

6 x Nobs plus Painboy - eavy armour, cybork body & big choppa

6 x Meganobs - all with combi skochers & trukk

6 x Bikers - Nob w/ big choppa

Iron Warriors

1 x Chaos Lord - terminator armour, daemon weapon & combi flamer

5 x Termiantors - 1 x heavy flamer, 1 x combi flamer & 1 x power fist

10 x Chaos Marines - 2 x flamers - champion w/ bolt pistol & power weapon

10 x Chaos Marines - 2 x plasma guns - champion w/ bolt pistol & power weapon

10 x Chaos Marines - 2 x meltaguns - champion w/ bolt pistol & power weapon

5 x Chaos Marines - 1 x heavy bolter - champion w/ bolt pistol & power weapon

Special Rules

Razor wire counts as dangerous terrain as possessed by daemonic entities from the warp!

Round 1

Chaos rolled to go first. All marines held position and were out of range, except for the heavy bolter which managed to kill one burna.

The burnas and meganobs jumped into the trukks and sped forward 12" putting them about 8" away from the chaos lines. The bikers moved forward covering the boss and nobz who made a run move a extra 1" . The burna boys lite up the burnas and set blaze the marines with the metlas, after the flamers had rolled only three marines were left! The meganobz unleashed three combi skorchers on the plasma marines, but they held better and only lost one marine. The bikers fired the dakka guns on the plasma marines but score no wounds.

The burna boys hold the position ready to use the burnas as power weapons in the next round, willing to take a few hits. The meganobz charge into combat over the razorwire, one meganob suffers a wound. In combat a meganob is killed and the marines are reduced to two survivors! The marines fail the leadership test and fall back out of the base and in no mans land.

Round 2

All marines hold position and the chaos lord and terminator fail reserve roll. The melta marines pass a leadership test and then fire on the burnas, but only the champions bolt pistols scores a wound. The heavy bolter squad fire on the burnas and manage to kill two. The remaining champion and plasma marine fire on the meganob wounding one with plasma fire. The flamer squad had been taking cover in between the two ruins at the back of the base, they fired on the meganobz and set them on fire with flamers removing one from the table.

The two melta marines and champion charge the burnas, the two melta marines are slayed and the burnas have only two remaining. The flamer marines charge the meganob but only one meganob is killed while the marines are reduced to six but stay in combat after passing a leadership test.

The bikers fire the dakka guns on the plasma marine and champion and kill them both earning a kill a point. The boss and nobz move towards the perimeter defence. The two trukks fire the big shootas at the heavy bolter squad but score no wounds.

In combat the burna boys are destroyed before they can spark up the burnas to start cutting the chaos power armour. Two meganobz are killed in combat and only one marine is lost, the solo meganob passes a leadership test to stay in combat.

Round 3

The chaos lord and terminators fail the reserve roll again! The heavy bolter squad fire on the boss and nobz scoring one wound. The champion moves towards the boss, but it out of sight to shoot and too far to assault.

The bikers charge the flamer marines to assist the single meganob. The marine spilt the attacks, the meganob takes no wounds and causes one while the champion of the chaos marines slays two bikers. All leadership tests are passed to stay in combat.

The boss and nobz move towards the solo champion from the melta squad, the boss fires the combi skorcher and fails to score a wound, the nobz delcare not to shoot as prefer to get into combat and bash some 'eads instead. The big shootas from the trukks open fire on the heavy bolte team but suffer no wounds after saves.

The boss and nobz charge the solo champion and destroy it scoring another kill point. The champion directs all power weapon attacks at the meganob and finishes it off scoring a kill point for chaos, however one marine is lost in combat to the bikers.

Round 4

The chaos lord and terminators deep stirke in but are offer target and scatter 11" back towards where the ork started in cover behind a abaonded rhino! The heavy botler squad fire at the nobz scoring two wounds.

The flamer champion kills another two bikers with the power weapon, though one marine is lost also.

The boss and nobz move towards the terminators and fire scoring no wounds and are out of charge range.

In combat the bikers are destroyed and chaos even the kill points 2 v 2.

Round 5

The terminators move in and set fire to the nobz and boss with the flamers scoring four wounds, and then some more with twin linked bolter fire, two nobz are removed and the boss also takes a wound. The terminators and chaos lord charge the boss and nobz leaving the boss with another wound down and only one nob and the painboy left. One terminator is crushed by the boss' powerful klaw.

In the ork round the nobz, boss and painboy are destroyed before they get a chance to stirke giving chaos the 2 v 3 win and cleaning the board of all greenskins.

WINNER = Iron Warriors!

It's a fine report but its flaws were in the rules. One warboss allows ONE units of nobs or meganobs be taken as a troop choice, so the ork list is illegal. Also you cannot embark to a vehicle and disembark at the same turn. That was one critical mistake. Anyway, keep these coming!

Chaos Space Marines also can't have a heavy weapon unless they're a squad of 10. Also that list looks closer to 1100 points than 1000.

Zaephyr we was playnig a friendly game and testing out new units so really we wasn't bothered about troops. I thought I had put that but I haven't.

The ork trukk is a fast vehicle so I thought you can disembark the same turn and assault if moved less then 12". Come to think about it the burnas would be ok, but not the meganobs but i didn't think they charged any way.

I will remember that Marvin though the list was at 930 or something and then the 5 marines were added. So perhaps a bit over but I don't think over by that amount unless I'm mistaken.
