And i only count 10 pd...maybe I'm missing something...

otherwise this seems like a very good list, knights will definitely, no matter what kill stuff! and marauders are great fast cav

Well I will toss my 2 cents in. I am unsure of the full command on your knights. They seem to hit and blast right thew squads. With the dogs and marauders you should be able to flank easily so the full command seems costly and not really working for you as much as the points suggest. Example: drop all the commands and gain 150 pts. Shift two knights from your 8 man squad and you have another 5 man Knights squad with MoS or scatter them amongst your existing squads. Or drop the war shrine and commands, as they are only so so anyway, and get a dragon ogre shaggoth with great weapon to deal with chariots and heavy hitting stuff.

Not saying the above IS better. But another option to look at. Just what I think anyway...

Thank you for commenting, the reason i take the dogs is to capture table sides cheaply while using the maruder horsemen as flanking units but the chaos knight command is because it has saved me in games from being massacred to a major victory.

My list is similar. I use the dogs and marauder horseman in the same way. Here is my list. It is only at 2000pts however.

Hero's

exalted MoK on juggernaut with shield and regeneration.

Sorcerer( LV 2) on barded steed with 1 dispel scroll.

Sorcerer (LV 1) on barded steed with 1 dispel scroll

Core

2 x 5 warhounds

2 x 5 marauder horsemen with flails

1 x 5 marauder horsemen with shields

Special

1 x 5 chaos knights with MoK

1 x 5 chaos knights with MoK

1 x 5 chaos knights with MoK

1 x 5 chaos knights with MoK

Rare

1 dragon ogre shaggoth with great weapon

I prefer to get my CR by killing things with the knights. Don't forget the FAQ. Frenzy gives the mounts an extra attack as well. The extra attack on the horses and knights will give you at least 2 wounds. That beats a banner. Not to mention your opponent cant snag an extra 100vp from you from capturing it. So the lists are similar but have small differences. At 2250 I would have another sorcerer with scrolls. What do you think.

20pts for a champion in a knight unit doesn't work for me. You can do a fair amount with those. Not a huge fan of the shaggoth, either. If you want a large target monster, I rather like the giant with Mark of Slaanesh.

Not to hijack this thread with my list but what you say applies to both of us. Do you mean you like having a champ in the unit or not? I don't see their worth in a knight squad. Lotta points for one attack. Challenging is nice but better vs the whole squad in case you face off against a power character. The overbleed wounds from the challenge are lost with out a champ.

The shaggoth is not that great, I agree. But he can make short work of chariots, which give calvary headaches big time, and is fast enough to flank and keep up with the mounted army. A giant will lag behind. Plus a shaggoth with great weapon will dominate a giant almost every time. As it will get the charge almost every time given its 7 movement. Hit on 3 and wound on 2 with no armor save. I love the giant but more than anything it is to slow for both these lists. IMHO.

the problem with your list is that you will get shot to bits by gunline armies and that your khorne units can be pulled out of line and flanked because they have to charge so you may need more dogs to control them imo.

Yeah I saw that as well. I made some changes to my list on another thread. I just don't see a way to avoid getting shot to pieces with a WoC cav army. I added more dogs and dropped one marauder squad. Dropped a shaggoth and added a knight squad. All I can do is hope it works and practice till it does. Problem with doing any one dimensional army. Your weakness comes back to haunt you.

nurgle can cover that weakness pretty well exsept things that don't need to hit as well as in combat you pretty much always hit on 3's so its worth its points compared to khorne mark
