This was the last week of the campaign. I've been holding onto first place since seizing the palace of peace with my daemons. The 2nd place player (whom I had defeated last week) had one more chance to dislodge me from the palace. However according to the rules since I was defending the palace I would get 300 more points than my opponent. So my list topped in at 2300 and his was 2k.
Daemons vs. Eldar re-match
I'm a little late getting these up so I think this was pretty close to the list I used.

The mission was secure and control (at least I think thats the name, its the one with an objective in each corner)
Deployment type was dawn of war
Deployment
My opponent won the roll to go first and graciously let me go. He placed his objective in the northwest corner right up against the edge. I placed mine in the southeast corner about 10 inches in from the side.
Daemons Turn #1
I got my chosen wave which was the 3 heralds, blue scribes (attached to one of the large horror units), the other two large horror units, and one of the small units. I make a semi circle with the heralds behind my 2 advance units of horrors one with the changeling and the other with an icon, I drop the small unit behind a hill in the southwest quarter, and drop a large horror unit right next to my objective, everyone shuffles around to get into terrain and get ready.
My objective is in that patch of terrain on the bottom right corner, there is also a unit of horrors there just outside of the picture angle.
Eldar Turn #1
The eldar host comes on the table and makes a castle of wave serpents. Two squads of dire avengers get out and shoot into the horrors. The icon unit goes to ground and suffer's minimal casualties, the changelings unit takes 6 wounds (including the changeling). My opponent declares victory for killing the changeling

.
Wow, now thats what I call a lot of wave serpents.
Daemons Turn #2
Somehow I forgot to take pictures of this turn

. I blame it on the heat of battle. 2 units of flamers, all 3 daemon princes, and the unit of horrors come in. Leaving me with just one unit of flamers off table. Two of the daemon princes and the small unit of horrors come in on the hill to the east of the eldar wave serpents. The last daemon prince goes for a risky drop right next to the two dire avenger squads deviates onto a wave serpent and goes back into the warp. I use the icon from the horror unit to place both of the flamer units (hoping to either immobilize some skimmers or get at the juicy avengers). A hail of shots go all over the place and at the end of it one of the dire units is at 5 models the other one that had gotten out was at 6. The 5 man unit failed their morale check and ran off the table. I also succeeded in ripping the guns off of two of the wave serpents.
Eldar Turn #2
The scorpions get out of their serpent and advance towards the flamers that dropped into the terrain. The farseer and warlocks got out and advanced towards the flamer squad and horror squad to the east of the woods. The banshee's take a run up the hill towards the daemon princes. The fire dragons scream forwards in their serpent jump out and unload into a herald (only causing one wound, he only did 2 total for some horrible rolling). His warlock squad combi charges 2 flamer squads and the horrors with the icon (proceeds to wiff a lot and lock everything in
hth). The hurt squad of dire avengers jump in their wave serpent and zip back to the table edge and head east so they can head for my objective. The full dire avenger squad hops out and shoots down some horrors. The scorpions failed to make it into
hth. The wave serpents shoot up one of the daemon princes leaving it with one wound. The banshees multi-charge both daemon princes and only do 1 wound to the unwounded daemon prince but they pass their morale check after the daemon princes kill 4.
Daemons Turn #3
The last flamer squad comes in off of the icon in
hth and flames down the entire unit of dire avengers. The empty wave serpent on the southwest side towards the middile is destroyed by the horrors and heralds as is the wave serpent the fire dragons jumped out of. The horrors holding my objective and the squad from the western side shoot up the fire dragons with the help of one of the heralds, killing all but 2, they pass their morale check. 2 of the heralds and the small unit of horrors on the hill shoot into the scorpions killing 4 and they fail their break check and run!! The daemon princes finish off the banshees leaving the exarch to run off the table. The farseer and warlocks make up for the last round of whiffs and wipe out all 3 units they were in combat with. The wave serpent the dire avengers are in to the east is blown up.
Where the heck did everything in the center go?
Eldar Turn #3
The warlocks advance towards the daemons on the hill.assault and kill the small unit of horrors, and the herald that was near them. The fire dragons go after the flamers, killing one with shooting and killing another one in assault and locking them in
hth. The scorpions fail to rally and run off of the table. The last unit of dire avengers moves to the east some more they open up on the daemon princes but fail to kill either of them. The changeling's unit is reduced to just the bolt. The dismounted dire avengers hop in another wave serpent.
Daemons Turn #4
The next wave serpent hiding dire avengers is popped. Through some attrition fire the warlocks are down to about 4 models in total. Another flamer goes down to the fire dragons in
hth.
Eldar Turn #4
The warlocks start to advance towards the daemons objective. The dire avengers and survivng wave serpent kill off the two daemon princes (they each had one wound left). The flamer manages to kill both fire dragons and advances towards the wave serpent contesting the eldar objective.
Daemons Turn #5
A herald a flamer, and some assaults do absolutely nothing to the wave serpent near the eldar objective. The other herald and horror squad can't touch the wave serpent near the dire avengers either.
Eldar Turn #5
The eldar shoot across the table and land within three of my objective to contest. To do so they have to tank shock the horrors off of the objective. My bolt of tzeentch takes out the wave serpent and forces the dire avengers out of the serpent well away from my objective. The other wave serpent lands on it's objective and holds it. Game ends on the roll of a 1. Daemons have 1 objective eldar none.
Thats right, nobody messes with the warlocks.
This game was bloody with stuff dying all over the place. It's scary seeing 7 wave serpents set up across from the table from you, it's just hard to knock them down, and with objective missions it's very easy for the eldar players to pull out ties. I knew the one
dp drop was too risky but I did it anyways just for the heck of it. I felt a little bad about getting the 300pt advantage so throwing away a 200pt model brought things back into closer alignment (not that I wouldn't have cackled with glee if he had actually hit). Those warlocks ate a nice chunk of points, and if some leadership roles had gone the other way I could have been really hurting. Having tried out the 5 man flamer squads they are just not for me. I'm really liking 4. The scribes and changeling were a target from turn 1 on and they didnt' survive all that long. It's hard to pick out a hero of the match everything did okay but nothing really stood out. I will say this trying to play a mono list at 2300pts isn't all that great. There wasn't really much else for me to take. I definitely think 2k is about the max, at least for a mono-tzeentch list. Well the league is done so I'm going to put the mono-tzeentch list on the shelf for a bit. We have about 3 weeks of casual games before we start the challenge league. So I'll figure out something to mess around with for a bit. Ghengis Con is coming up the weekend of February 14th, and I think I'll take the mono-tzeentch list to that and see how it does in a tournament setting. With the win this week I clinched the campaign, having never once gotten to fight agains a marine list

. A ton of eldar, some orks, and some dark eldar was about it. Thanks for reading.
Bye the way anyone got some ideas on what I should play next

. I'm thinking next week I'll break out my
WIP deathwing army, just to motivate myself to do some painting on it.
